I friggin loved Charlie and i just don't know why the female stars don't get as much love from the fans. I also really liked Pamela (the psychic from season 4), Jody and Claire. There could have been so much more development on their characters and this blows that they didn't get enough love considering most of the fanbase is female. Let's show some love for our fellow ladies!!! #SheForShe
Well, I'd guess it isn't as much fun to fangirl them as it is to fangirl the boys; and if there's ANY chance they might become the love interest of one of the boys, some fans tend to get rabid trying to defend their ship - And, well, it's more difficult to find stuff that says "Look, Destiel is real!!" if Dean and Cas both have a girlfriend. That being said - I really did like some of the girls, and fighting that hard for pairings never really was my thing, anyway, so I'd like/I'd have liked some more episodes with Charlie, Ellen, Jody, etc.

Ruby Masters That's probably why Charlie survived as long as she did - She didn't endanger anyone's shipping, but the other girls... Jo was pretty much loathed at first, she only started getting love in S5 - May have been just character development, but it also was after she'd been said to be the boys' little sis-type rather than a love interest, which was originally planned. To be fair, I didn't notice that much hate anyway since I came to the fandom kinda late-ish when most girls were already dead. From what I've heard, though, Charlie's main "problem" was that many viewers saw her as a Mary Sue. Meg, well, Megstiel did have a bunch of shippers, so she couldn't have been that hated - But, well, she was a love interest for Cas, so that could've brought some hate. But honestly, though, look at how long most girls who got too close to one of the boys live - I'm pretty sure there's a connection. Especially since some fans are so damn obsessed - I've heard about the actors' wives being told to leave, for example. Fangirls can be pretty damn awful, so I guess the writers prefer to kill off the females to make sure they won't get too much hate.

I met her at a book signing in Portland. She was super nice and tried to make time for everyone, despite the line going out the door (hundreds of people to meet)
