love this layout. I have used up 2 6 x 6 paper pads and I get one more card per sheet by using the 2" square left over and the 1 x 4 leftover strip. Taking a 4 x 5 14" layer on an A2 base, I lay the strip in the middle of the layer. I then put the 2" square on a 2 1/4" square layer and center on the strip...a few sequins or dots and call it done. Absolutely no waste.
So I'm one of the very unfortunate ones that have lost their job due to Coronavirus and my aunt has been helping me to try to stay above water and it's her birthday this week and I am racking my brain trying to think of what I can give her that doesn't cost me anything. Making 30 cards that she can use to give to her grandkids is by far a better gift then taking her out to dinner so thank you for this wonderful idea and it gives me something to do with all of the time that I'm stuck at home. I hope everyone stays safe and we're gonna make it through this.
Very nice totorial. The cards are beautiful! Im always running out of cards and I like the idea of making alot at a time then finishing w sentament when needed. Thank you for sharing.🌸
Stacy, I have always loved your crafting style and these cards just go to show how much fun creating handmade cards can be both for the maker and the recipient. Thank you for your cutting measurements. That is so helpful. Love this simple card design.
Just found this video and was very impressed! Sometimes, I think I have to dream up a new idea for each card I make, and then I fall behind in actually sending out cards at the right time! This is perfect to have a stash ready to go when I don't have time. And it would be so easy to switch out the sentiments to have a box of all-occasion cards ready for the mailbox. Thank you!!
you prolly dont care but does someone know of a trick to get back into an instagram account? I was stupid lost the login password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me.
@Maximus Winston i really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process now. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
i love love love this set of cards!!! i think they are amazing... i had 3 packs of 6x6 and went out and bought 2 more packs. i am going to be making alot of beautiful color combinations!
I always enjoy seeing someone else's crafting style. There's always something different that makes every crafter unique. Thank you for sharing your simple 6x6 cards. They turned out wonderful! :)
Nice! I love the feeling of using up a whole paper pad with only minimal waste. Thanks for sharing such a great simple design for making multiples/sets :)
This is a great idea. The problem I'd have is I (so far ) only make cards that are a 8 1/2 X 11 card stock folded in half. But if I ever decide to make a smaller card this is the way I'd go . Thank You for the tips. Your cards are really pretty. The idea is Awesome, you didn't waste any paper. That is one reason why I make the size cards that I do. Now you have shown me a new way of making pretty cards without the waste of paper.
Love, love this quick video. I love the one sketch idea. I have done other cards sets and they take time to figure what I want to do with each layout. Thanks for the inspiration, now I can't wait to dive into my 6x6 paper pads.
I just came across your video and wanted to leave a comment to say how inspiring your video is, and such a simple and easy way to make a lot of cards! I think I may have to try this sometime! Thanks for the inspiration>
Just seeing this video! Love it! Can make a bunch and have a stash ready when you need them! I always hate to rush just one card. Will check out your blog. 🙂
watching again.........to get courage to cut up few 6x6x papers I have .don't know IF/WHEN will be able to buy more .................Thanks again Like your name to Momma !! I am (retd.)architect love to make greeting cards for family/friends with whatever meager items, afford and get in India in old age for making !
Could you do a 5.25 by 2.5 for the top section and 5.25 by 1.5 for the bottom? You’d then have extra strips for the middle strip as there won’t be any overlap?
Great tutorial! I am going to have to actually use this one the right way and not vertical like I recently did...although that way turned out nice too! I really think you need to start making videos again. 💌
I have never made a card that does not have an inside to put the message. I so love the design idea. So the greeting message goes on the back of the card or do you mount this card onto cardstock that is folded like a regular card? Maybe, l am missing something?
Most of my cards I leave blank inside. I’ll stamp something inside when I go to use it. I also sometimes decorate the inside with a pattern paper strip if I have some scraps.
Amazing!! Thank you so much lol...I’m going to try and recreate these cards. I’ve had the hardest time with the sketches. Thanks for sharing xoxo Tai. New subbie. I’m so glad I found your channel xoxo Tai
thank you Stacy for this very good tutorial.... I like any way I can use up all those 6 x 6 pads I have accumulated. One thing I do want to point out, the measurements for the "grey" background CS should be 4 1/8 x 5 3/8; the measurement you gave, 4 3/8 is too long for an A2 card base...
connie cordova I went back and watched it and I actually gave the correct measurements for the grey layer as 5 3/8 by 4 1/8 right away in the beginning. Not sure what you heard.
Thank you ery much for taking time to makeand share this tutorial, I’m going to try this out for a batch of cards that I need to make quickly. 😊
I still have most of this pad. It's my favorite ever!! Beautiful cards!!
I've made 16 cards using this process, so far. I'm making a batch to go to Care Center Residents. This is quick and easy. Thank you so much!

Martie Johnson actually these are exactly 8 1/2” x 11” card stock cut in half and folded. That is an A2 Card base. Perfect for you!!
Fantastic! You made it so simple and practical.
very BEAUTIFUL and fast out come ! the papers are so pretty !!
Love, love this quick video. I love the one sketch idea. I have done other cards sets and they take time to figure what I want to do with each layout. Thanks for the inspiration, now I can't wait to dive into my 6x6 paper pads.

Love this layout idea!!
Great tutorial! I am going to have to give this a try when my mojo gets low!
Wonderful idea 💡!! Thank you for sharing!

What do you use for envelopes? Do you make your own or just buy them?
Joy K I purchase them.
Thank you for sharing your videos
Loved this! Especially the simple, yet pretty, design. I just subscribed to your channel. 😃💖
I have never made a card that does not have an inside to put the message. I so love the design idea. So the greeting message goes on the back of the card or do you mount this card onto cardstock that is folded like a regular card? Maybe, l am missing something?
Vedawattie Ram I attach these card fronts to a regular A2 folded card base. You can stamp or write any sentiment you’d like on the inside.
Thank you for sharing! Great idea for the 6x6 paper stacks! The cards a very cute. What do you do for the insides?
Debbie Baez I leave them blank inside. I either stamp or write something inside when I need to.
I really like your paper cutter, I wish I could find one like this
Love this! I have that same die set. I think I paid $1.57.
Which punch did you use for the oval cut out?
Wow this is amazing
Thank you for this. I will give this a try as soon as I am feeling better.
TFS your efficient technique for mass producing cards. Aliexpress offers even more choices in dies and stamps from Asia.
What a great idea..thx so much for this tutorial..😋
I just found this. The cards are really cute. Do you ever do the Inside though? A sentiment or scraps of paper? Just wondering. Thx.
Most of my cards I leave blank inside. I’ll stamp something inside when I go to use it. I also sometimes decorate the inside with a pattern paper strip if I have some scraps.

This is killing a paperpad! ☺
Wow really good idea
Awesome. What is the white card measurements anyone? Ty
Angela Woods it’s a regular A2 Card base.
@@CraftaholicMomma alright thank you!
I am really confused. First time making cards. So what's the card size that you add all your layered cards on?
Angela Woods it is a regular A2 size card. A piece of 8 1/2” x 11” card stock cut in half at 5 1/2” on the long edge then folded in half.
@@CraftaholicMomma thank you for explaining it for me. Idk why it was so hard for me to get it!! I get it now!
What is the length of the 3/4 in strip?
This was a great video... TFS 🌺
Amazing!! Thank you so much lol...I’m going to try and recreate these cards. I’ve had the hardest time with the sketches. Thanks for sharing xoxo Tai. New subbie. I’m so glad I found your channel xoxo Tai
Going to try this right now🙂
Great job
I will try this and let you know, thanks
When I cut the cards as you show they were too big for the A2 card.
What is the name of the cutting tool your using
Such a great idea Stacy!! :)
Would you mind just posting the sizes of all 3 pieces?
Jody Wood Hi did you receive all 3 measurements?
Thank you for sharing this! I just became your new subbie.
These are so cute!
thank you Stacy for this very good tutorial.... I like any way I can use up all those 6 x 6 pads I have accumulated. One thing I do want to point out, the measurements for the "grey" background CS should be 4 1/8 x 5 3/8; the measurement you gave, 4 3/8 is too long for an A2 card base...

my bad... i watched the video several times and did NOT catch those correct measurements... Sorry!!
connie cordova the correct measurements are at the 1:15 mark. I hope that helps.
So pretty, I really like them 🤗 I need to check out the Wish app ! 🤓😎TFS
What is the name of the Pretty die cut you got from the Wish app? Your cards are lovely.
Jody Wood I’m sorry, I do not remember as this video was made almost 4 years ago. You could probably search for fancy frame or tag.
