Thank gawd you chose your life and didn't sacrifice yourself for a paycheck. It really is work to find a job, the good news is even though duds are annoying to encounter, there's movement job search wise and hopefully the next company that contacts you sees your worth and value! 👏 Choosing yourself will never go in vain.

As someone that has traveled for work, usually the company sets up the initial travel plans when you first start working. They weren't forthcoming about the details, so I can understand why you were apprehensive about the travel. The apprehension could've also been your intuition telling you not to take the position, not necessarily the travel itself.

Don't walk, Run from the company... I worked a job that you only earned 8 hours of PTO per 300+ hours worked. It came out to a 6 days worth of vacay if I worked 40 hours a week for a year. Benefits sucked. When I decided to leave to work for the state, they told me I needed to put 3 weeks notice in otherwise I would not get paid the little PTO I accrued. It was crazy. Lol your story definitely gave me flashbacks 😂

No girl you did great, my new work is also sketchy (you will laugh I work at the kindergarten) the teachers are awful, some children are even getting yelled on for no reason and the responsible person for all the kindergarten in this city is giving zero shits about how the new teachers are treated in the kindergarten. Basically working at a shop is nicer than being a teacher in kindergarten 😭
You were getting bad vibes. Yeah, move on to something else. Being satisfied with your job is affects you mentally. Your mental health is just as important as important as the paycheck. Stress can be very bad.
