I'd love to get back into it purely for fun. Problem is I wouldn't have a clue about a decent starter kit. How you get the tunes to play ? What buttons do what ? Plus I got records I cant move that are bowing the floorboards. Any suggestions for where to begin, digitally? Cheers.
I get many people asking where I get the old school tunes from, unfortunately I own them all on vinyl from their original releases and promos. I have spent the past few years digitising them so I can play them out at more events and venues where CDJs are the only devices provided! As a starting point though to get into digital DJing I'd recommend getting a DJ app for your laptop and purchasing a cheap controller. You don't need big speakers to have a mix, I only use my headphones with no speakers attached at home and in my TH-cam mixes!!

DJ Equipment im heimischen Wohnzimmer? ... meine Frau würde rebellieren. Sie akzeptiert meine DJ Anlage in meinem Zimmer und das es mal laut werden kann, wenn ich loslege ... was kein Wunder ist, bei einer Yamaha Endstufe und vier Boxen von Klipsch. Fetter, guter Sound wie Klang im ganzen Haus.

It's all in flight cases so I can pack it away quickly and easily. You're right, though my wife hates it when I take over the living room. 🤣🎧🤓
