The question at this point isn't whether or not he's better than Brisett. The question now is whether or not he'll be better off in the long run if he starts this year. I do expect that he'll become the starter this year even if it's not week 1. I like Brisett, but he's obviously a bridge guy. He's going to have down games, and when that happens, people are going to be calling for Maye. I would say sit him, but it would be good to get him in there near the end of the season to give him some real NFL experience before next season.

He has great pocket awareness, especially for such a young QB. He maneuvers well around the pocket until he finds the sweet spot that gives him enough time to throw the ball. He seems to know where the pressure is coming from at all times, I’m kind of scared to make this comparison, but he’s kind of like Brady in that sense.
Yeah, red shirt him. I know that sucks, but just have a terrible season, draft one of the elite LTs, draft a good RT, then start him next year. If you can upgrade the WR core next year, cool, but the WRs are good enough now, I think to function with. Just need to upgrade that line. Oh and get a new C to replace Andrews but that's much easier than LT to do. Good Cs available later on in drafts usually just due to how that position is less versatile typically.

I watched his first 2 starts at North Carolina.. I remember saying to my brother this guy is a slam dunk franchise QB + I had him in college fantasy football😊

You're not looking at the right things. You gotta look at his foot work, mobility, pocket presence, throwing power, throwing on the run, scanning the field. These are things that you can analyze without the QB playing #1s.
