Gridlife Overall lap record and Production car Lap record! So much more time left on the table. Very conservative lap as this was my third lap on track and the car was overheating half way thru.

Just watching practice #2 for the IMSA Weathertech event at Road America now and the Factory Corvette C8.R has the fastest GT time of all cars this Friday @ 2:03:712 driven by Jordan Taylor.
I am assuming that is a 2019 ZR1? If so, that is crazy.

I’m glad to see rwd unlimited time attack finally get to the level of development as other platforms here in the states. It seemed like awd was the big thing 5-6 years ago or so and then fwd became the fast thing to watch with will’s civic and James’ integra. I always figured a c5/c6 preppped go this level would be the thing to take rwd to the top. Arguably more platform potential than all the crazy unlimited rwd builds you see overseas (s-chassis, soarer, Porsche 964, etc). Corvette ticks a lot of boxes of what you’d want in a race car.

Seeing this lap really makes me appreciate just how stupid fast the AMA superbikes really are around this place. Josh Herrin's 2:09.025 on the Panigale V4 just seems borderline impossible now, considering the bikes have to do the chicane right after the carousel.
In all seriousness, props to this run though. 2:04 is well beyond my skill level as I sit right now.

Do you think there would be a significant benefit of adding anti-lag to your new engine setup? Or would the lap time improvements not justify the amount of money and wear on turbos and other components?

Incredible lap! I don't think you were too far off the Indycars in terms of trap speed. I was at the end of the front straight and seeing you fly by was pretty amazing. Ridiculous lap and top speed for a production car. Congrats on the records!
