The movie 'The Invisible' introduced me to this band. I was skeptical at first because of their incredibly long name, but I am glad that I checked them out. Very great band and killer song!!!
The scene in which he follows her to a club and she starts dancing among the crowd of people. He just circles her, surprised when she takes off her hat and lets her hair down for the first time symbolizing her taking off her shield and showing her true self. And she's totally unaware he is there.
I have seen them twice and both times they have put an amazing amount of energy into their performance. The second time I saw them the singer of this song (I don't know his name) did a torpedo dive off the stage and NO ONE CAUGHT HIM! He was ok, got up after the song and said "I hope I didn't hurt anyone on the way down." See the show, you will be glad you did.
Conheci essa banda na minha adolescencia no começo dos anos 2000, hoje com quase 35 anos de idade, volto a ouvir esse som que ouvia com meus 18 anos, e fico pensando em quantas coisas aconteceram nesses anos todos.
this has been one of my favorite songs that I listen to over and over for the last 3 years and you're right, it doesn't get old at all. You guys should check out their latest album, it came out just over a year ago and it is so good. They have a really great variety of styles in their songs! Such a good band
I seriously doubt it. This is a powerhouse tune, it's fucking amazing and to rock out with Jason Reece live as he jumps like a madman into the crowd like he did when I saw them is an experience in itself. I'm pretty sure I lost a few kilo going crazy to this tune when I saw them in Belgium two years ago. It's still my favourite tune by them. Traveling from Ireland it was so worth it.
Never knew I could feel this way so old an unremembered never thought it would slip away and fall like September scale these walls in front of me have you ever stopped to wonder why they forced my voice to turn from silence to a caterwaul?
that's the originaly drummer jason reece. he wrote the song. he also wrote aged dolls, inteligence, homage, days of being wild and part of lost city of refuge :]
Ha! I was in the audience for the taping of this video! it was in Boston. My friend and I feasted off the craft service table before he realized he was eating ham and cheese croissants. Being a vegetarian, that led to our exodus to the alley and then back to the apartment for beer. Also I tripped over the BNC cord running the camera to a producer's monitor. I know... who cares... but it happened. Good song too. Yeah.
@emotive1591 i found this band on today while on acid. I've never heard a single one of their songs before today. never heard of the band. i set out to look for a song and i found wasted state of mind some how. and it all made perfect sense.
@340danielo Me too :) Ever since I saw it and heard it I wanted to feel it like she did in the movie. Just being able to let everything go.........amazing!!!
And what has tried to bound me I've severed every tie place your arms around me and we'll leave the rest behind What was I to say? How was I to know? Was it your soft voice that said so?
I personally wouldn't give a damn if rock & roll died, even loving it as I do, if I thought that something equally rebellious had risen to take its place. By "rebellious," I mean something that encourages independent thought. The first wave of hip-hop was a fine successor to the best rock & roll. (A few early critics defined NWA as "black punk rock.") But since then it's mostly a lot of posing. And now pop slop in the vein of "American Idol" has trumped hip-hop -- no heart or soul at all. Sad.
@bleedingelite you don't have to be rude. a lot of us came here because this song was featured in a spectacular movie, and that's what we associate it with.
lol @ Immigrant Song ;D Exactly what i thought of the first time i heard it! Immigrant Song OWNS that rythm, hehehe. J needs to make/front/whatever more songs...
It talks about letting go of something because there's nothing left. The caterwaul has to do with rising above the rest, being different. At least that's my best definition of the song, I may be wrong.
Man instead of offering it tell these people to go buy the friggin album.. It's the least these guys deserve. So do them a favour and buy the friggin album (all of their albums in fact)!!
I agree actually that this video is a little "MTV"...which is weird for a band like TOD. That being said, it's still good, and the song is great. It's weird that they hardly show Conrad at all in this vid.
The movie 'The Invisible' introduced me to this band. I was skeptical at first because of their incredibly long name, but I am glad that I checked them out. Very great band and killer song!!!
Roy Boyd Whats the year of this movie?
francisco fiorani 2007
same
Roy Boyd that movie has an amazing soundtrack
I did the same, and I agree with Adesh. Recommend any other bands like this that aren't on the soundtrack?
The scene in which he follows her to a club and she starts dancing among the crowd of people. He just circles her, surprised when she takes off her hat and lets her hair down for the first time symbolizing her taking off her shield and showing her true self. And she's totally unaware he is there.
The invisible brought me here
One of most intense scenes in The Invisible had this song in it. Great movie.
This is one of the most awesome songs ever! Makes me wanna jump and dance just like Annie :D
saw them last week in london and did just that...at 51 though i was sweating :D
Great song from a great band! The second half is one of the most intense pieces of music i ever heard.
I have seen them twice and both times they have put an amazing amount of energy into their performance. The second time I saw them the singer of this song (I don't know his name) did a torpedo dive off the stage and NO ONE CAUGHT HIM! See the show, you will be glad you did.
Love the 90s feel of this, I was so surprised to find out was from 2005! It has such a grunge groove to it. Reminds me of jr. high
it sort of sounds like it could've been a Smashing Pumpkins song
Reminds me the 2nd grade
i am the girl in the video ;)
great band, great song. worlds appart is one of the best lp`s ever!
Too many people are relating this song to The Invisible. Why not relate it to the band? The amazing god damn band! My hometown heroes!
Pfff! Because it plays on so many radio stations and movies right?

One of the best movies I have ever seen, and Im glad I saw / own it, cause I would have never known about this song. It kicks ass!!
I love the fact that they are not too popular. They are like a secret band nobody knows about. Like Idlewild....... oops.
hahaha
Conheci essa banda na minha adolescencia no começo dos anos 2000, hoje com quase 35 anos de idade, volto a ouvir esse som que ouvia com meus 18 anos, e fico pensando em quantas coisas aconteceram nesses anos todos.

Never knew I could feel this way

have you ever stopped to wonder
why they forced my voice
to turn from silence to a caterwaul?

i love this part in the movie cause you cant tell how beautiful she is ...until she takes her hat off and dances
Annie plays Amanda/Emily on a show called Revenge.
She is hot
And I love how she lost herself in the song
that's the originaly drummer jason reece. he wrote the song. he also wrote aged dolls, inteligence, homage, days of being wild and part of lost city of refuge :]
heck yes! THE INVISABLE ROCKS. This song made it that much better.
I saw the movie (The Invisible) a long time a go.
But "Cater waul" was always mine favourite track.
Ha! I was in the audience for the taping of this video! it was in Boston. My friend and I feasted off the craft service table before he realized he was eating ham and cheese croissants. ah the middle east club. great place, i saw Trail of Dead there once, with Forget Cassettes opening. it was great.
Hypnotizing melody, perfect lyrics.
It's the kinda song that makes you wanna get up & dance for all eternity.

Jason can do it all, fantastic voice too ❤

@emotive1591 i found this band on today while on acid. I've never heard a single one of their songs before today. never heard of the band. i set out to look for a song and i found wasted state of mind some how. and it all made perfect sense.
This song paired with her vulnerability is a perfect scene to expressed her inner person...
@crepsleyfanatic I agree. Just one of those deep moments. :)
Back then college music scene and party scene was real good
How could you ever feel alone again with this song...
@340danielo Me too :) Ever since I saw it and heard it I wanted to feel it like she did in the movie. Just being able to let everything go.........amazing!!!
The Invisible... Annie's dance
This song is AMAZING!
And what has tried to bound me
I've severed every tie
place your arms around me
and we'll leave the rest behind
What was I to say?
How was I to know?
Was it your soft voice that said so?
Favorite!! :D IMÁdom nagyon király szép!!! Very good song!!!!! :-) Alternative rock forever!!!!

It talks about letting go of something because there's nothing left. The caterwaul has to do with rising above the rest, being different. At least that's my best definition of the song, I may be wrong.
