    THIS IS R/C MODELING AT ITS BEST. I HAVE BEEN FLYING R/C AIRCRAFT, BUILDING, AND FLYING UK TOP SHOWS FOR 20 YEARS .AND MODELING FOR 51 YEARS .
    THIS IS WHAT MODELING IS ABOUT, ENGINEERING, CRAFTMANSHIP, AND PRIDE. LET ALONE THE PILOT SKILLS .
    JUST DON'T KNOW HOW THE GENERATION OF NOT MODELERS .BUT FLYERS CAN CALL THEM SELVES MODELERS THESES DAYS !. MAIL ORDER READY TO FLY MODELS AND FOAMES. 😝 .
    AS A TRUE MODELER I SO MUCH APPRECIATE THIS TH-cam CLIP.
    WELL DONE GUY'S YOU ARE A CREDIT TO OUR GREAT HOBBY. 👍👍.

    I love the more realistic power to weight ratio of this model. So many RC models are so overpowered it ruins their flight charachteristics.

      I agree Terry, thats why most of mu models are very large!

      A lighter plane is always preferable to a heavy one a good pilot can still fly a lighter plane in a scale like manner. RC flying is very different than full scale we have guests Observers very close to the flight line as well as Pilots. To expose them to an excessively heavy airplane is a pretty dangerous situation especially if a failure occurs on take off, ask Mac Hodges about it if you've ever seen his video of his B-29 2014 take off at warbirds over Delaware. I'm not saying weight was an issue in that crash into the crowd, he lost an engine on takeoff but nonetheless weight is an enemy for all planes.

      @@ScaleJetFred OK, I watched the link without the music. Love how that beautiful lady seems to strain to get off the ground with a "full load of bombs". Very realistic. And the landing was perfect. Only problem, and this is the same with most RC videos, is that the announcer on the loud speaker seems to think that people only came to the show to hear him. He never shuts up. Guess he loves the sound of his own voice. Not much you can do about that but somebody needs to let him know that the audience wants to hear the sound of the aircraft as it buzzes the runway. Still loved watching this huge bird fly.

    Great historical coverage of this outstanding model Fred,the B-29 appears to be quiite tricky to land as it suddenly sinks on finals and the round out has to be precise,you can see this in every landing just an observation,a feat of model engineering with an excellent back up crew to look after it,thank you for preparing the video for us to enjoy.

I need to find time to go to your website and check out the other models. However, that B29 is great and those four engines sounded fantastic!

    • @jeffs7915
      @jeffs7915 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nowadays some larger planes have the plane's control surfaces split between multiple receivers , so half ailerons/elevator/ and rudder on one receiver, half on the other. This done due to larger voltage requirements in giant planes as well as if loss of one receiver the pilot might be able to limp the plane home for a landing with half controls, not a pretty landing but better than nothing.

    What I have noticed about this Aircraft is that at every takeoff I have seen so far,the Aircraft always banks to the right on climb-out,instead of the usual left bank and climb-out. So I looked even more closely and noticed that as each engine was started, all 4 rotated counter clockwise which creates an awful lot of torque focused in 1 direction. If the 2 inboard engines were to turn clockwise and counter clockwise to each other,and the other 2 outboard engines were to turn clockwise and counter clockwise at the end of the wing's,then would completely negate the problem's of uneven torque and greatly improve performance and handling in the air!!! But what does a Helicopter Guy know about these thing's???
