A quick google suggests the label cartridges are not easy to obtain in the UK. I have a Brother label printer that can already do all this and very easy to get supplies. Those labels don't appear to be laminated either, compared with the Brother labels.
I like the app operated model, the other one looks too bulky. But the brother electricians printers are just as good. Great video Gordon as always.👍 oh and thank you for my TIS voltage indicator.👍considering the greath I give you guy’s sometimes I really didn’t expect to be one of the winners . So thank it’s much appreciated
Brother for the day to day stuff, fox in a box for rack and data gear .... i use phoenix on a regular basis , but only connectors and related tools, that printer doesn't seem to print heat shrink too well
That looks a very versatile printer. I like the Silver Fox printer with the Fox-Flo labels They’re approved for use on London, underground and managed to survive being fitted to cables externally, even in some pretty arduous and sunny climates like Australia.
@@efixx I think they are an English company. The staff are friendly and knowledgable when I have spoken to them. The Fox-Flo labels are self extinguishing and UV stable. I use blue cable ties on the yellow labels for Intrinsically Safe circuits and yellow ties for other circuits, which look very smart
Michael.. you using the fox in a box? i'm using the advance software, any more features on the pro? its a pricey upgrade... brilliant company, customer service is bang on
@@efixx Funny how you don't name numbers, if it's in an L-boxx it will not be cheap. I wanted to switch but the lack of label availability compared to my Brother PT, I will stick with that
Cables labels work out over £1 each. That would add £200 to my average job. Think I'll just get the lads to keep writing them and invest in a wrist strap 😂
However, the argument could be made that there is not labelling because some people can’t understand other individuals handwriting where it is required it could be a problem
@@UKsystems no one ever trusts the labels in between the end points. Would you cut a cable at the centre point without tracing it all out from one end first?!
@@Kungfuturkeyleg you do do that however there are so many industrial applications where this cost for a label is great easily seeing why you think something is that from or seeing what appears to be powered from something is quite handy when they say you’re not allowed to shut something down, but nothing is labelled properly
why do you support junk like that ? following your link -yes ,you can read the spec, add to the basket (!) you need to login and register and then.... nothing will happen! waste of mine time ,thank you
And it saves them from having to manufacture and distribute different versions for different languages (QWERTY for English, QWERTZ for German, AZERTY for French, etc etc etc.). An ABCD keyboard is equally “right” for everyone (i.e. it’s equally wrong for everyone…).
The Thrmomark GO.K printer is a piece of crap. Stops printing or skips characters. The cutter gets stuck after about 300 cuts. The software is buggy and unintuitive. I had to try on 3 computers and about 50 restarts for the software to connect with the printer. DO NOT BUY THIS.

They are available in the UK from RS and a growing number of wholesalers. They have a range of different material finishes.
However, genuine brother ones are not actually that available most of them are fake ones
Wow Gaz got a hammering during this video 😂😂😂. Cool bit of kit 👀

Interesting- just had a quick look at the Fox 🦊

@@thattoolguy9432 Yes, me too. Upgraded to the better Labacus software for the extra features
Brother all the way
Can the handheld Go.K also print long continuous labels with module separations, at least without fancy stuff like different font sizes and images?
Cannot see a price online anywhere, unobtanium, try a search on their listed suppliers, does not even show on some.
They are definitely available. You just can’t seem to find them.
Hello. Is there any option to choose the desired font type?
Could you review the Brady Bluetooth, I think it is a good contender
Can’t even find a price on the link in the description.
368 £ for the app version
I must buy one for my HQ audio leads as well as cables
This looks good - what’s the pricing like on them and how readily available (and pricey) are the consumables?
Similar pricing to other brand printers and consumables.

Why no qwerty keyboard!
Aziz is durable as brother labels brother waste material due to their extensive lamination process
DRM cartridges... No thanks! Shame they look really good!
Some nice features, I use the brother, however the app is crap, and has needed a major overhaul for a very long time, and let's the machine down
Brother have a couple of apps that can link to the printer, the new ones pretty great

😂
An ABCD keyboard? :/
Who's idea was that?!
Because it is used by not very skilled people... and they just copied everything from Brother (I have Brother PT-E550W) :D

Brother for doesn't
it's a toy compared to the Brother label printer
