Great video from start to finish man!! I was laughing way to much 😆👌🏻🏍 I totally agree about the stock 1200 pipes and I’m in love with my shark road slip ons!! Best investment so far!
hell yesssss! i love them. Most people are like " dude that's a sportster? never heard one sound like that before" haha dude I'm getting the bars and fairing uploaded in a couple days. Bike is looking and riding clean AF!
@@MarcosSerna haha I had one of those moments outside of my Harley dealership the dude was like... yeah my homeboy just bought a 1200 and we did a light kit in it... it it doesn’t sound anything like that 😆😆 best compliment there is!! Can’t wait for the upload!!
Yeah. From my understanding is that there isn’t enough air intake vs out pressure. So to take care of that and to get the power back. Get an air intake like big sucker and a tune. Bad news is that it cost like 650 ish more to fix. But then you can save for a sick full exhaust after that. And then you got a sick set up. I’m guna do a video on that soon.
@@MarcosSerna Thank you, Does it have any bad impact on the engine ? i am trying to wait to do the whole air fillter process for right now but don't want this to have an negative impact on the engine
i made the mistake of buying this from their website and not from amazon, now i cant return them. they are LOUD, waaaaay too loud. Their customer service sucks. i took them off 5 seconds after installment. Now am thinking of putting baffles on them to see if that helps instead of them rotting in my garage,
Well I definitely thought they were too loud at first but I just wasn’t use to it. But if you really do hate them sell them for 100 on Facebook or offer up and call it a day. Spend the money for a nice 2-1 and get some performance back. That’s what I’m getting. Into now
Get some TTIs (thunder torque inserts)from DK customs to get back your low end power. It’s being lost through harmonic reversion which has all these energy waves fighting each other coming out the end of the pipes. The inserts will block that initial energy wave that’s being pulled back up the pipe and fighting with the other energy waves as they come down through the same little opening.
I have same brand but my pipes don't have gills. 2021 Iron 883, the holes on bike didn't match up to he's on pipe. What did do to make them fit? I didn't see that part in your fast forwarding recording
No. Not need. But I should. Really doesn’t need one until you throw an intake and then tune. Then save for a full exhaust system. Then retune. But the app makes it easy to tune.
How are these on here? Been thinking of getting some i have the same bike, I'm in between these or vance and hines but like the price of these are they worth it ?
well you are going to get way better sound out of these. But you will lose a bit of performance on the low end. you are losing pressure going no baffle. My work around rn is air filter plus Vance & Hines Fuelpak FP3 Autotuner. dont know yet if thats going to get us back to normal just yet, but saving the cash to give it a try. Good thing is that eventually when its time to get the full system. The fuelPak can be adjusted for the new exauhst.
they deffs give the bike needed presence. And its a nice quick fix without breaking the bank. Everyone wants to go to a full system eventually but its nice to be able pretend while you save up haha
If they don’t have baffles then your basically running straight pipes and that’s why you lost some low end power. Two into one would give you more power back but they can be expensive. I would say tune First and then buy the air cleaner so you done run you bike lean.
Really like your video and the honesty that came with it.I am an old guy and you brought me some laughter and knowledge!!!!
Keep shining,peace!
I bought the sharkroad exhaust for my 2021 road glide and I have zero complaints. Harley sound for a dirt price.
Yessir. Only thing is that eventually you’ll want a fuel tune. Make sure you are not harming the engine in the long run.
When I bought mine it had no mufflers on at all 😂 now that was loud!

Did you need any longer screws for this?
Do you hear any decel pop when you riding ? Is it normal ?
Yeah. From my understanding is that there isn’t enough air intake vs out pressure.

How noticeable is the loss of power after the slip install? I wanted to buy these, but idk now that I know you lose power
you lose low end. it sucks a bit. but its dope, yeah if you have the cash (around 1200 ) bo full system intake and tune.
@jeremys7479 yeah it do be like that. What full system did you go with?
@jeremys7479 yeah thats a dope setup!

Loud pipes for a cheap price, awesome
Harley's stock exhaust headers are actually very good pipes. Really all they need are mufflers and a tuner and a heavy breather.
And that gives good sound? Cuz I’m thinking about an air sucker and a tune
Did you need to tune?
No. Not need. But I should.

Don’t have the money to show y’all how I do it. But soon enough I’ll make a new video doing it.

I got Sharkroad Megaphone 3 Inch Very Very Aggressive Louder Pipes Save Lives 2016 Iron
Oh snap. Yeah deffs a solid budget upgrade that performs welll and sounds great.
Loud is cool, makes it go faster lol.
yeah deffs thats the goal coming up. ill deffs do a video once its done :D
No baffles with no time will cause your low end power loss.
Trying to understand I’m still new
Literally just put on mine and they were a bitch and a half. They sound great tho. Came with no directions, no clamps, nothin.
Yeah it was shitty to
Do hahah.

When I get more cash I’m deffs going to do a nice 2-1.
no such thing as too loud
Only when you live in a bs city like me where they heavily enforce the 80db rule and jabronis will call the cops on you
