I never thought about all that boiling water & tooth tablets… I clean with dish soap & water, my straw brush & do it about ever other or every third day!!! It is important to keep it very clean, even though you just usually putting water in it!
Something aot of pepple forget is even tho it's just watter when you drink from it some bacteria from you mouth gets inside, and well,over time can cause it to get very nasty
That’s right! I clean mine every evening and it’s ready to go the next morning. I think the tablet and boiling water is if you don’t clean it regularly.
I keep a baby bottle brush to scrub the inside.

Wow that's a full time job. I'll stick to getting bottles without straws so i can just throw them in the dishwasher to be cleaned

Dentures/retainers cleaning tablet. I literally already have these. The brand is efferdent. I would think it would make the bottle taste minty though??

mine is one of those that easily comes apart and is made to be cleaned easy so i just put it in the dishwasher and all is good!! but nice to know how to properly clean it if the dishwasher breaks, i used to just use regular water and dish soap

Way to much time & effort. Buy a Yeti that easily comes apart. You can easily wash it with your regular dishes
I have a bottle that only has a normal lid. without a straw and all these parts that need to come apart...but I still clean it like this and I clean it EVERY DAY. Girlie...those bottles are with you everywhere every day and they pickup all the nasty shit + the inside gets nasty too after one day even if its only water inside...

How about using a Glass instead?
No kidding. Waaaaay too many bottles out there or taking up real estate in the cupboards. Might have to explain to the current generation how to use a glass and how to drink water out of it. 😅
Can't use glass where I work. I bet there's lots of places like that. Not to mention how many times I would have shattered a glass one knocking or dropping it.
At home, I do, but I'm in the car a lot, and I'm always somewhere different for work.
Can't carry a glass with you in your bag when you go out. Kids can't take a glass to school to keep hydrated all day....
