It always bummed me out how Gabe Logan got thrown in the catagory of "Stealth Genre" with the likes of Solid Snake and Sam Fisher. To be fair, this isn't a stealth game. It had like, two stealth missions in it, but it wasn't a stealth game. It was a kick ass action game with a pretty good story for it's time. If they wanted to, they could just remake and retell 1 & 2 in a new Syphon Filter game, and it would be fucking amazing.
You are so right about that. A remake from the ground up of the entire trilogy (but specially the first 2 games) would be freaking incredible to say the least.
Imagine all the remastered levels. The Washington subway with the men burning running at you from the wreckage’s. The Girdeux boss fight. The chopper fight on the communications tower, and running through the long passageways among the coffins of dead test subjects and Pharcom boxes in the stronghold.
@@UltramanMebiusBrave Yeah tell that to the moments where you're bombarded by 35 agents pinging off your radar and all shooting at you at once. There were a handful of stealth missions, it was not a stealth game. It was a badass action game.
I was pretty young and never own PS1 yet. My buddy owned one. I lay eyes on this game for the 1st, he started off with the Rhoemer stronghold level. I was very intrigued by the gameplay, till when the danger theme kicked in, it was the most insane nostalgic moment of my life coz it sounded like it put you in deep suspense. Totally love this track
liam pitts Lol, I remember the test subjects. They use to creep me the fuck out. But I always felt so bad for them, especially after you quote on quote, “cured” them, and they’d slump to the ground holding the back of their skull where you injected them, only to find out later on from the transmission from Lian that Markinson was lying and that there is no cure, and that you basically just euthanised them with chlorine and a bunch of other mixed drugs used in that concoction. Poor bastards. Treated like animals right until the end.
That frustrating moment when Lian/Phagan ran into your line of fire and died, while you were trying to head-shot a flak-jacketed guard. >_
Or when you You get a little too far ahead of them and then they instantly die

And it slows down nicely when the "Danger" is over.
