After Mangla dam construction people migrated to UK from Mirpur & now UK British Pakistani population is majority of them from Mirpur. 800000 people from Mirpur living in UK out of 1.2 million of total Pakistani population. Proud to be Mirpuri. Hindu Mandar still can bee seen in dam.

Babaji is from the khukhrain biradari of the pothwar plateau . My grandfather migrated from pothwar and used to talk in this Punjabi accent. Good to hear about the same culture extending from pothwar to j&k.

As a school kids did not listen to her and her tears about her past Mirpur did not impressed me. I even used to taunt her for bringing Mirpur in every topic. I now regret of my foolishness and had listened her I would have known gull description of Mirpur. Unfortunately my grand parents were killed in Mirpur. There is large Mirpur community in Delhi and other parts of india.
