I bought two of these on sale when they first came out. I own a kestrel 48 and a daylite plus as well and this was the in between pack that I needed. I used it many times during weekend trips to Seoul while I was in Korea. It's the perfect size.
Very good video. I'm looking to buy one for 2 day treks with an overnight B&B and this looks the right size for that. I use the Hikelite 18 for day treks and like it a lot, comfortable to use and just enough space if you want to carry wet weather gear, some food and all the other bits and bobs you might need. I think 32l seems about right to pack in all the extras you will need for an overnighter without having to cram it all in.
I never owned an Osprey pack before but I bought the Osprey atmos ag 65 a few weeks ago and i was very impressed with the quality of the make .Next on my list is a nice daypack so that review is very helpful Chris thanks. By the way your coffee must have been stone cold by the time you drank it 😀

A nice looking 32lt rucksack. I do like the mesh backs on rucksacks but I tend to feel you possibly loose space inside due to them pushing the pack away from you, well with the one I get from Tog 24 that was the case. Very nice though mate, thanks for reviewing it mate 👍
Thanks for watching mate - on this, the mesh doesn't interfere with the internal volume of the pack at all, simply keeps it off your back so the air can circulate, it does actually work to be fair and I didn't find my back overheated with it! ATB
Hey mate, this was an excellent video. Osprey just happen to have this backpack as part of their 40% clearance right now. I'm mainly using it for my 30 mile round trip commute on the bike and at 54 quid it's a bargain. Will also be great for travel as I pack really light any ways. I couldn't justify spending 120 quid on their cycling range, way to steep 😌 Thanks for the detailed review, you gave me the confidence to buy this.
Great review mate! I have two Osprey packs and have to agree, they are great. I've been using the Talon 22 for my day treks. It has pockets on the waist straps, which I like! But, the Hikelite does interest me. For two reasons, the Airspeed mesh and also the bigger capacity. My Talon looks bigger than it, with less capacity! Ha Ha. Think I may have a look! Is it for all the beer 🍺 you take with you? 😂 just kidding. I bough Aether AG 70 a few weeks back it’s brilliant for my thru hikes and although £200 when you work out how often it will be used, well worth the money. When you invest a bit more like with most things, you get much much more in return. 👍🇬🇧😄
