I'm a 63 year old man with a disability from an accident I started playing golf again for my physical therapy activities until I watched your instructions I was only able to play 5 or 6 holes before my injury would send me home . With your instructions it has increased my flexibility lessend my pain and the bonus is I now can hit my shoots comparible to the 40 year Olds I play golf with and have dropped from a double bogey golfer to shooting my first under 80 round with my son last month, he was totaly impressed. Thanks

This little thought just increased my driver swing speed from 92 to 106 MPH. I was not even trying to make the motion hard just loose and smooth. I look forward to trying it on a practice session this weekend.

I left a comment earlier but it disappeared! Anyway, I appreciate the patient work-through with Sav. These aren't quick fixes, but rather a study and greater understanding of anatomy, kinetic chain activation, and how we individually swing a club, AND I love it! Golf is way more fun with your teaching!

Hello Shawn and Family! I've been following your journey for a year now, and I have to say that my golf game has improved, especially my 8 iron (consistently hitting it 160 yards all day long) LOL! I still need to work on my Driver to achieve more consistency. In the video, I noticed "Big Mu" coaching up on the hill, and that's fantastic to see! Sav, Big Mu, and Dad are the Best!!!

    Hey Shawn,
I’ve been watching for over ten years and thought I’d share a major insight I had during a range session today. I’ve heard you emphasize having a firmer grip pressure in the past, but it occurred to me today that my grip pressure was too soft, especially at the top of the swing. I realized that my club face was actually hanging slightly open because my grip was slightly collapsing at the top from lack of grip pressure. In the through swing, I could feel it hanging slightly open through impact as well, even with a very strong grip. I started gripping the club tighter and could feel that taughtness in the lead arm you’ve mentioned feeling with a square club face. That taughtness is key because it’s what keeps the club from falling toe down and therefore open! An open club face makes the club feel lighter and therefore makes you feel like you can swing faster, a counter productive sensation. I started hitting a very powerful slight draw with a much weaker grip after I started severely hooking with my previously stronger grip after gripping it tighter. I could feel how the club face actually squares up much more emphatically with a tighter grip pressure, the opposite of what traditional instruction would have me believe with “holding it like a bird”. I thought this was a worthy insight to share because it made a massive difference for me and I’m sure it would for others as well.
You’re the best teacher out there and don’t get the recognition you deserve!

Shawn - I literally couldn’t hit a golf shot this season until I came across your content. You simplify the golf swing; your approach decreases granular thought and promotes natural feelings and thoughts.

I have the same problems with my irons, "feeling" low enough to take a good divot. Could you focus a lesson on achieving a good ball first then make a divot

Hi Shawn , Dave from the UK , since being recommended to your thought process of the golf swing , over the last month of playing about a 36 handicap I’ve dropped 18 shots , keep up the good work . Ps How about a video of using the 3 wedges with 3 different degrees of swing

Shawn I love the pause. Unrelated question. When I use my driver , my shoulder block out my sight of the ball and my target on the backswing
I do not have an issue with any other club. Do I go back to your longtime tilted spiral and use that for my driver swing. I am 74. Thanks

I solved my issue by going to the axe drill with my driver. Now I can see the target as I complete the backswing.
