It isn’t 1 in 8000 the standard chance of running into a Shiny Pokémon in the wild or obtained is 1 in 4096 (unless this is just for cobblemon😅)

I believe you can select for your starter to be shiny in some servers and in game rules you can make your starter shiny on solo worlds
