Open world/free roam in this LEGO game is extremely annoying due to the lack of a map and a large number of rooms. Your video is perfect as a guide. All in one material, with commentary, not cuts where the character suddenly appears at the other end of the map.

Yeah I still have seven more character tokens to get but I'm having trouble finding them I have 160 so far
bro my wizard hat out of the three won’t spawn. i’m at max everything and 199 bricks…… wtf
I stressed myself out thinking i missed one in the end not realising Voldemort was the last character token i needed from the bonus level once you have 200/200 gold bricks. This is the best guide I could find and I appreciate how you tell us exactly when to switch to certain characters and show us the full path from one area to another. Many thanks!

I'll leave some tips and hopefully I can help someone if they are stuck where I was stuck
- The first student in peril he saves, on the couch that spits him out in cube form, wasn't there for me the first time I got back to where he was in the video and I was stuck at 49/50 being sure I got that one on my own before, turns out it was the last one I needed.
- One other thing that almost gave me a heart attack, having 50/50 students = 1 gold brick, which was the last one I needed. I was sure that bonus level 4 brick didn't count for me since the guy on the picture next to the level 4 door wasn't holding a gold brick only on that 1 level...
- Final thing, when I unlocked and bought Voldemort, I was still stuck at 99.9% after having collected everything (or so I thought), I actually didn't collect all red bricks, and I used cheats for most of them instead... I simply collected the few others I had left and never bothered to purchase them, which you need to do to get to 100%.

If anyone has 199/200 gold bricks and cant find the last one, for me it was in transfiguration clasroom, but not in the secondary area, but actually in the main classrom where you learn transfiguration spell. You get the gold brick for learning this spell(by stepping into the circle and killing 2 enemies using harry, ron, and than hermione) and i somehow i missed it during story playthrough. Most confusing part is thst i already had that spell for most part of the game. Gold brick detector dosen't show it there, so i ran around Hogwarts confused for like 2 hours and almost gave up thinking it was progress breaking glitch. Hope it helps someone :D

If anyone is stuck on the last gold brick, it may not necessarily be a glitch. I didn't have the final gold brick and the final student in peril. I thought I had gotten one of the game breaking glitches. Even though I used this guide, I was still missing things. So I decided to get another guide online that only focused on SIP. Wouldn't you know it, the first one I rechecked was actually one I messed up without knowing. The student was in the Gryffindor Common Room. I had apparently forgotten to hit him twice with a spell. And then the trophy popped. When I paused to confirm my eyes weren't going mental, it then said I had the last gold brick. So it seems, for my game anyway, that the final gold brick is linked to the final SIP. I don't know why this happened or how it did for that matter. But maybe this could help you out if you fall into a similar situation.
Seems people miss that one frequently. Which is why I specifically say to hit him again in the guide!!

I still have a yellow brick indicator in the library, and I’m missing 6 yellow bricks total. I have no clue where to look. I’ve played through twice, the initial time and then to get all of my stuff, and I used reference videos to make sure! I also have 8 character tokens missing, but I can at least look those up. Not sure where to go from here 🤷🏼♀️. But as far as Hogwarts goes, you’re a lifesaver!!!

@@xxDAMRONxx I’ve replayed the levels twice, and Hogwarts, replayed all bonus levels twice, gotten knock turn and diagon alley, but still have 1 yellow brick missing. I have I think 2 or three character tokens missing, but they aren’t there. One is supposed to appear after playing records on a gramophone player, but I have no records … at all, and I can’t remember the other one, I’m not at my game right now. I’m so frustrated about the yellow brick that I had to take a breather 😂.
@@xxDAMRONxxmy indicator shows the yellow brick in the library, the joystick vibrates and the indicator is there. Where the brick should appear after shooting the wizard hats. They aren’t here, so I assume I did it , but it’s the only place I’m this game where I still have a yellow brick indicator 🤷🏼♀️. Ugh! I took a picture to show you, but I can’t post it …

The order I’ve been doing this game
Rushing through the story line and getting a gold brick for completing levels and classes
Next I went back to the first level of yr 4 and got Barty crouch jr
I then did first level of yr 1 and got griphook I did the forbidden forest of yr 1 and got hagrid. I then did Dumbledores office and got him I didn’t I complete his office until later because my 9 year old brother showed me that dumbledore can access all the common rooms so you do not need a character for each house to open them
So overall when I started this walkthrough I only needed:
Harry
Ron
Hermionie
Barty crouch jr
Griphook
Hagrid
Dumbledore
I’m doing the game in this order because I found roaming the castle difficult as I couldn’t remember where I had been before in previous games i started. I will go back to completing the levels and bonus levels last as I know what to look for.

This is for the hub section. A lot of bricks are from the main story and some in knockturn/diagon alley. Check the video description for links to every part!
At 42:40 where ,you have to collect the 3 cry babies, I haven't payed attention to this guide because, didn't knew about it, I freed the student, saved and called it a day now I am watching it again and the guy is still stuck in there can't open the door again as it's open the cry baby cant be removed as the guy is struck in the door....

Hey bro can you help me out please💯🙏🙏 I literally got everything on this remastered so far like at 99.9 percent almost done right. I need one last character token which is the ravenclaw girl in the library section. Everytime I break the silver thingy it kicks me out like something went wrong and I have to repeat it constantly. I wasn't sure if u had any issue with it or not.
It's error everytime I tried to get that character token and kicks me out like that.
I’ve gotten all red bricks, all my students in peril, all house crests, I fully completed all the 1-4 year missions, and I still have 9 gold bricks missing. I bought the ones in Diagon alley, I have no clue where else to look.
Ugh. I recommend going through all the videos. Be sure you got all the story missions with true wizard scores as well. If you follow this guide to a T, youll have all the collectibles!
I need this please guide for me on my PS4 controller machine for my game buddy
I think my student in peril in the main lobby glitched. I'm at 49/50 students, 166/167 characters, and 198/200 gold bricks. I still hear the student yelling, no studs or anything in his place, and every time I "return to hogwarts" I come up in the time turner quiditch area, even after a reinstall. I know Voldemort is my last character and there's an extra gold brick I need. I'll go through your videos again, but man idk if I have it in me to play this whole game again 😂

If you get everything in this guide (story missions, hogwarts, diagon/knockturn/leaky cauldron, and the bonus levels) then you will have everything. Make sure you listen as there are certain areas you make have to shoot the student in peril for it to count etc

I've been told that if you start getting the collectibles before you finish the story there is a higher chance that those bugs appear

Yes I mention this a few times throughout the guide but it is much easier to go after all the hogwarts/diagon & knockturn alley collectibles after completing the story and unlocking several characters we need

Do anyone know if there's a way to check which Golden Bricks you've collected? I'm missing 1, and I've spent the last 3 days going around trying to find it. Even tried to back-track with the video above, but no progress unfortunately...
Adding ontop - I've been running around every single room while having my Golden Brick detector on. It doesn't show anything anywhere...

i've already went through every single room but i'm stuck at 48/50 student in perils, 23/24 true wizard, 191/200 bricks, 23/24 house crest, and i'm still missing a lot of the character tokens. i already cleared everything in story mode free play too, so idk what i'm missing. do you have any idea?
You have missed things in story mode. True wizard and house crests are only in the story levels. Be sure you check diagon and knockturn alley as well. For years 1-4 I have the story years, hogwarts, and diagon and if you go through all that it covers everything.

I was sure i messed up with golden brick clock tower and was wandering like in deny. Then. I noticed that in library the detector was indicating in back left room a golden brick but nothing, all the 3 hats were already broken/disappeared. Until i go to Hagrid garden in free roam. My last Golden brick was there. If this can help anyone.

So there is still a gold indicator in the second room of the library for me at the top left in front of the large bookcase. I originally thought this was gold brick but I turned the detector off an it was still there. I turned off the crest detector and it was gone...then back when I turned it back on. This has to be some kind of weird bug cuz the crests are only found in the story levels and I have them all.

I have hit a snag In my game
So I have finished the whole 1-4 game so I’m now trying to get 100%, but here’s the snag I am missing one student in peril, one character card & one gold brick. Have checked all the levels & they are all 100% ain’t missing anything there, have checked the alleyway nothing there either so they have to be back at Hogwarts. But I feel like I am running around like a headless chicken in those halls because I can’t find anything at all, I have the gold brick detector on same with the character card detector yet nothing. Please someone help me with this😓😖😤🙏
Everything is time stamped so I’d start by checking the brick and student locations in Hogwarts and diagon and knockturn alley.

I found it
It turned out that there where a student sleeping on the couch in the Griffindor’s common room, which I apparently had to spell the couch to get it to eat the student which it then spit out tangled into a pretzel. Which I had to unpretzel the student & by doing that I “saved”/got the student in peril & by that I got the last gold brick, & the last character card is apparently found in the special golden level in Borgin & Berks.
& the funny part is that in no guide Video nor Google ever mention anything about it or close to it, so I ran around like a headless chicken around in the game for like a day when I only had to do that thing with the couch & solve it in less the 5min🤦 & another funny thing is that I DEFINITELY(sarcastic) had not already spelled that same couch with the student sleeping on it BeFoRe, but nothing special happened then but NoW it gives you a student in peril & a gold brick🤨😤😓🤦🤦🤦
& the thing no guide (I found) never got close to mention anything about it🤔

i faced the same problem and after reading this comment I decided to check that sofa and yup, idk how but there was a student that I was absolutly assured that I had already saved, plus the golden brick :)
At 27:50 after use dark magic the lego coin didn't appear, anyone got same problem with me? This is my last gold brick. Damn this game got so many glitch make me frustrated to do achievement. 😢

1:16:34 is anybody else experiencing glitches with this one? The orange top left piece is missing and I can't mount the big H, hit the silver thing and use the pipes. Any ideas on how to fix?
Idk why but in the slytherin room I can't free the srudent peril (I did knock over the bookshelf I went in to him and it didn't do anything :/)
Maybe try to leave the room and completely close the game. Launch and re-enter and see if it works?

You can still use a strong character and walk up to the walls under the stairways and get it. Just need to wiggle your character around till you hit the right spot to pull the chains

How do you unlock free roam in hogwarts? Do you have to complete the game first
You unlock it piece by piece as you are playing the main story. The entire section will be unlocked upon completing story mode

1:22:19 Words cannot describe how much I hate this game. So I got very far into the game. I’m in year 4, got the Reducto spell, and went back to the first level to 100% complete it, including unlocking Griphook. Went to this location to put all of the keys in, and when I try moving the blocks in position for me to get up on the ledge so that I could get the Red Brick, Gold Brick, and Snape, I got a little reckless with moving the blocks around. As a result, one of the blocks got stuck in the right corner in that little gap between the purple platform where you place those blocks and the brick wall to the right. You’d think that the block would flicker, disappear, and then respawn back to where it’s supposed to be but nope, it got stuck there, and I couldn’t get it to move at all. And the worst part is that the game auto-saved the block being stuck in that spot, so I knew I couldn’t 100% complete the game. I deleted the save file and rage-quitted the game because all of that progress was for nothing. I will never play this game ever again, or at least many years later. Screw this game so much!

i want to say thank you very very much! i was struggling with the last gold brick but i had found all the Sip and I had gone through the same places billions of times without luck. Turns out I hadn’t got the one in the gryffindor bedroom dorm (gold brick 2) because i hadn’t used TT and therefore my detector wasn’t showing it🥲

There are definitely 6 (see how it says x/6 when you hit one). It is possible you just happen to hit on during your normal playthrough without realizing it

Hmm. And you completed all the bonus levels I presume. If you have everything above you should be at 100%
Why does my game have 50 students in peril?
There are 24 students in peril as well within the story missions (1 in each level). My story level collectible guides cover them. This guide is for the Hogwarts hub
