Even if the one in the video looks Q or ur I think she clearly can land it clean! (In the 2019-2020 season, her 3a was also q and ur sometimes)
To me they are all on fire, crazy talent for each of them, wow. Sasha seems unbeatable and I admire her amazing work to improve her abilities (also spins are better than before), Kamila is a combination of insane jumps plus the best spins in the world in nowadays figure skating (and gorgeous lines / estension), Alena can execute her strong triple axel again, Anna is amazing and truly elegant as always (hoping for her a full recovery), Daria Usacheva is really lovely and to watch, stunning spins and flexibility also for her, she is so good! So, it's really difficult to say who is the best. To me they seem all breathtaking, i'm really proud!

I’m rooting for Sasha. She’s on fire, and her jumps are HUGEEE😍. Aliona is restoring her 3A, and I’m so proud of that, she made it after a long time. No quads for Anya? I’m a bit concerned, and I think she looked, like, tired? But she’s a fighter, so she’ll just need time, and everything will work out. Maiia’s programs are interesting, glad they kept I’ll Take Care Of You. I’ll miss Dasha’s sp, but I know she’ll do great. I’m a bit scared by Kami’s axis and disappointed by Daniil. This is just like Storm 2.0, zero originality. Sasha’s sp final pose is just like Dasha’s last year sp final pose, and Anya’s final pose is just like Zagitova’s Black Swan final pose… Anyway, I wish them all a good season :)

The level of ALL these skaters is just phenomenol !! I especially love the exquisite expressivity of Valieva -- she looks like a ballerina on the ice, always with glorious, graceful lines and outstanding jumps and spins. Similar to Scherbakova in this respect. Olympic picks: Valieva, Scherbakova & ________ ?
Trusova always looks unbeatable in training, but we remember what happened during last 2 seasons. My dream team for Oly is Kamilla, Alena, Anna. But we will see what happens at the actual competitions.

Both Sasha and Kamila have unstable landing. For Sasha maybe quad with ribbon is not a right move now Alena is getting well with her 3A but it will be very competitive now when Kamila and Sasha are going to add 3A in SP Also, the video quality is not so good that wrong edge and under-rotation are not able to be detected. And you al know under this team, those are common mistakes.
Beautiful jumps, at least until they land. Outside of the jumps I don't see any grace or fluidity in them, they look like cars without cushioning. It seems that landing abruptly is the trademark of Russian skating (there are exceptions: Kostornaia, Nugumanova). In a good landing, the speed in flight and the speed after touchdown should be the same for several seconds, to descend smoothly. A good landing should look like it never happened.
I'm still not a fan of jumping with the arms over their heads. The only skater to manage to use it to enhance the jump was Boitano. Everyone else resembles a popped tire with pieces dangling as the blown tire continues to rotate. Having said that the Russian ladies are classy with amazing talent and each bring their own style and strengths. I think the nationals and Europeans will be more competitive than worlds event

Can someone explain to me if the girls have such bad technique when jumping, why the judges score them so high then? Shouldn't they judge them lower so the girls would be willing to fix their bad technique to prevent future injuries or at least allow the girls to pursue the career longer?
Атлетичная, прыгучая. По чисто фигурнокатательному таланту Камиле нет равных. У неё есть все: техника, катание, прыжки ультра-си, непревзойденные артистизм, растяжка, гибкость. И на льду она смотрится очень органично.

@@TTran-ti3uy in the air you want to be perpendicular to the ice. The angle you are on in the air is called the axis. Kamillas jumps are often on an angle when she’s rotating in the air. Which is especially dangerous doing quads and such. Hope this helps :)
@@TTran-ti3uy also when you are doing axels, right before you jump, you want to have you arms all the way back. Sasha does it the best. Even though she doesnt use a rippon, which can be a good thing because you want varitey, her techniqe is consistent and more "textbook"

Kamila still has an issue with jerking on her landings, especially with combination jumps. I see her axel rotating at an angle, which is definitely not what you want and not visually pleasing. I also see that Kamila has an issue with landing the axel. May be due to the fact that she rarely jumps triple axels. Aliona looks great but her issue rn is how consistent her axel is because she has no quads to get those extra points. Anna looked eh. She looks like she is having a difficult time jumping them. Maii, ...omg I cannot. The pre-rotation is even MORE obvious than kamila or Anna. They all have a bad habit of bending over too much, which is bad technique bc it puts too much strain on the lower back. Sasha to me has the best-looking jumps. She isn't bending over as much and has great transitions out of her quads, which is very difficult to execute smoothly. I definitely see her having a long career because her health is not dwindling like other Tuberize skaters from the past. Probably cause Plushiko taught her real technique and her body is well taken care of. I obviously have bias for Sahsa but this is what I see from all the clips. I am said that she is only showing two quads because her dream is to land 5 in an international competition. I hope she makes it this Olympic season.

Tbh despite a lot of people hating Eteri and saying her teaching methods are inhumane, I have to say her methods did work and I’m impressed. Aliona’s 3A is back within months, Sasha’s 3A looks really good and the skaters have shown improvements. Every teaching methods is different and each methods suits different people.
Sasha looked absolutely great and thriving when she was in AOP as well, her mental block is the problem. Aliona was just lazy when she was training in AOP and she said she needed more supervision. I don't think Eteri can do magic, but she creates a competitive environment and these daring skaters skate to their full potential.
Just one correct answer. Thanks a lot for that. You're absolutly right - Eteri could be not saint as a person, but she is very strong coach and clever woman.

So with Liza Sasha Aliona and Kamila all incorporating the 3A in the short program, Russia will be leaving an 80+ short program score at home. Two of you count Anna who scored 81+ without a 3A
Sasha looks fire with red hair, her alchow and 3A looks better than ever. Kamila's first landing in combo jumps still looks ugly. Maiia lacks speed on her landings. Alena 3A looks good!! Hopefully the judges will give components fairly instead of high tech = high PC
I agree and I do not know much about figure skating so that should be telling to people if someone who doesn't know much about figure skating sees such bad landings. I'd think it'd eventually catch up to her when she gets older and her body can't handle as much force that's being acted on it by her bad landing
Yeah, I think about who will make the Olympics and what kind of season they will have all the time. I have my order from best to worst. 1. Valieva, 2. Shcherbakova, 3. Usacheva, 4. Kostornaya, 5. Trusova, 6. Khromykh, 7. Sinitsyna, 8. Tuktamysheva. Of course these will change as the season goes on. Already Kostornaya showing her triple axel is starting to scare me, I might have to move her up to 3rd place real soon. As far as Trusova same old thing... yeah she looks real good in practice but you don't win the competitions in practice. I expect she will start off strong but she'll l fade down the stretch as the pressure mounts and the competitions get bigger. I easily have Valieva, Shcherbakova, Usacheva, and Kostornaya all making the Olympics ahead of Trusova. The test skates are exciting and all, but nobody is going to win the Olympics in September. Just remember that.
@@gab7497 I agree. That's exactly why I do see Usacheva as a contender. I think she'll stay the course and grow as the season goes on. Consistency in important, there will be a lot of pressure and you never know what's going to happen when girls are doing these high risk jumps.
Idk though, Valieva seems to shift her axis a lot. If that is caused by growth, I doubt something would change prior to the Olympics. And considering she's doing 3a only - I'd evaluate Kosto scores higher at any international competition.

Kamila dances on ice like a robot, unlike Aliona that can be compared to Yuna Kim's gracefulness.

Anna has the best programs which is great for her because last year both of hers were pretty bad

Sasha looks fire with red hair, her alchow and 3A looks better than ever. Kamila's first landing in combo jumps still looks ugly. Maiia lacks speed on her landings. Alena 3A looks good!! Hopefully the judges will give components fairly instead of high tech = high PC

I agree and I do not know much about figure skating so that should be telling to people if someone who doesn't know much about figure skating sees such bad landings. I'd think it'd eventually catch up to her when she gets older and her body can't handle as much force that's being acted on it by her bad landing

Yeah, I think about who will make the Olympics and what kind of season they will have all the time. I have my order from best to worst. 1. Valieva, 2. Shcherbakova, 3. Usacheva, 4. Kostornaya, 5. Trusova, 6. Khromykh, 7. Sinitsyna, 8. Tuktamysheva. Of course these will change as the season goes on. Already Kostornaya showing her triple axel is starting to scare me, I might have to move her up to 3rd place real soon. As far as Trusova same old thing... yeah she looks real good in practice but you don't win the competitions in practice. I expect she will start off strong but she'll l fade down the stretch as the pressure mounts and the competitions get bigger. I easily have Valieva, Shcherbakova, Usacheva, and Kostornaya all making the Olympics ahead of Trusova. The test skates are exciting and all, but nobody is going to win the Olympics in September. Just remember that.

Usacheva isn't even a contender imo unless she has a triple axel or a quad I haven't seen.

@@gab7497 I agree. That's exactly why I do see Usacheva as a contender. I think she'll stay the course and grow as the season goes on. Consistency in important, there will be a lot of pressure and you never know what's going to happen when girls are doing these high risk jumps.
Idk though, Valieva seems to shift her axis a lot. If that is caused by growth, I doubt something would change prior to the Olympics. And considering she's doing 3a only - I'd evaluate Kosto scores higher at any international competition.
