I don't know how it is these days but back in the 90s you could get completely open access to all kinds of internal phone lines, fiber switches and other fun stuff from street cabinets and radio towers. The more inaccessible a place is the more stuff telcos would just leave sitting there wide open.

With daily limits, pi ns required on random transactions, me temporarily blocking my card in the app and then forgetting to turn it back on, etc. The bank would have to send me a new card every week. LOL.
