Love this song. Barry and Michael were very close friends, M was the godfather of Barrys youngest son Michael. M spend a lot of time in barrys house and he loved his music, He often couldn`t fall asleep and called than Barry to sing him How can you mend a broken heart per phone! Barry:"We burned one together occasionally with red wine. Then we both lay drunk on the floor and talked about songs. Gibb also explains: "Michael Jackson and I were the dearest of friends, that's simply what it was. We gravitated towards the same kind of music and we loved collaborating and he was the easiest person to write with. The more we got to know each other the more those ideas entwined and it all came to this song 'All In Your Name'. 'All in Your Name' is in fact the message that Michael wanted to send out to all of his fans all over the world that he did it all for them and for the pure love of music. I hope and pray that we all get to hear it in its entirety. This experience I will treasure forever
I remember Barry Gibb saying in an interview that Michael would ring him up and ask him to sing How can you mend a broken heart to him over the phone. The interviewer said what did you do? Barry Gibb said “I sang it to him.”
