I too used to drive over there, usually on a Saturday. Remember the boatanchors including a HQ180 on the shelf that stretched around the shop
Heat buildup is what kills these great old radios, my Icom R9500 runs really hot, lots of shielding inside for use around computers and other equiptment, needs a much better fan, hey Chuck hope u made some progress on the Anritsu, thx, Matt

Where is the aor 6000 if you have the icom icr 8600
DX1000 could have been a nice radio but it overloads far too easily. You can yell at it & overload.
