- In this Transparent Coloured Glass Effect in Affinity Designer tutorial, I will show you how to create a unique glass text effect with transparent colours using the compound shape option and some cool effects. I will also use blend modes to achieve a great-looking design.

Great tutorial!! I am trying to find a tutorial on how to create a photo realistic eye in Affinity Designer. I see a lot of them for Adobe Illustrator but not AD. If you could figure it out I would appreciate it.
Truely, A great effect something that looked so complicated explained perfectly in layman terms!
Can I ask a question I have been using Inkscape as it was a free software but is limited when it comes to CMYK options. So when I saw Affinity Designer I brought straight away, however
in Inkscape I can do a watercolour background effect for a clipping mask effect? Or do I have to download add ons for this effect?
Searched on youtube but can not seem to find a tutorial explaining this unless I am looking in the wrong place. Please could anyone answer this question.

Hi. I think the best way I can help with this is by looking at a reference image of the effect you are trying to achieve. If you look in my description you will find links to my Facebook page where you can post an image of the effect you're trying to create in Affinity Designer, and I'll try and help you 🙂

Great video! Love this effect! You are so good at explaining everything. Can this be set as a style to use or you just need to change the word?
Thank you so much for your comment, I really appreciate the great feedback 🙂 unfortunately it can't be saved as a style, so you would have to just change the word. However, once you've created this effect a few times, you'll become really fast at putting a design together 🙂

Too bad there are no subtitles in German. I understood everything up to 09:54 minute, shift the letters, which I unfortunately did not manage.
I'm sorry that you were unable to follow the video. When I get a little spare time, I will try to manually add German subtitles using Google translate 🙂
