I won a national championship a few years ago.. And would have lost, if I didn't have a superstrong hand. I knew the guy would beat me in the strap, so I locked down and overpowered him which does work very effectively. Only If you know how to hold on and let go if need be. But I also have a equally strong arm that I could... NOT apply effectively in the strap. This is the best tutorial video for strap pulling in my opinion... Only If you know how to arm wrestle and are experienced and understand the pressures and what you guys are explaining technique wise. One of the huge keys and tips in this video... Is pressure through the palm of the hand and pulling through the whole wrist and not containing as much with the fingers. Which is totally different out of the strap if the other guy does not want to hold on. To anyone that's a beginner and doesn't quite understand everything these guys are saying. Come back to this video after you have pulled for a while and it will all make sense. Thanks again for the awesome video.
As a novice armwrestler, this is the kind of content I need. Very clear and informative. One question, is their exercises that simulate these pressures in the strap without another person? The strap is so complex for me and I feel so much weaker in it. So much to this sport than people realize. Thanks guys!
Bravo!… sincerely the best video I’ve seen about straps. They have eluded me for a long time, there are many points here that were eureka moments for me. Very comprehensive and insightful… thank you
I love the series, helped a lot. This final episode helped a lot in details in strap matches, my hand is not the greatest so strap training is definitely something that benefits me more, Thanks a lot!
This is super interesting and informative, gripping up and getting what you want and need in the grip and using the strap are things I know very little about and 100% things I need to learn and get good at.
@@IamNothingNowhereok so at what moment exactly do you move your hand in the opposite direction to the one you are looking to load? So the strap is on, tight as it's going to get and only at at that stage do i start to pre-position (e.g. supinate before i want to load pronation) the hand before manoeuvering into the final position? Or when the ref is tightening, I'm positioned in that pre- position (e.g. supinated in order to load pronation), ready to manoeuver in to the final start position?
It can depend a bit… but for the most part you make the move AFTER the ref tightens the strap. The ref will say get your grip, and at that point you reach in the opposite direction of what you want, close your hand, and return to centre. Once you get what you want don’t let it go💪🐒

Video tailored for me lol thanks!
Guys - are you making the adjustments to load the strap before or after the ref has tied the strap?
You load once it's on and as tight as it's gonna get.
