thank you for your youtube channel. i have always felt a little embarrassed that i collect cereal boxes, and that the cereal aisle is the first place i go to in the supermarket. knowing that you collect and and make cereal videos, and that others watch them too, makes me so happy.
I've been hoping Nesquik would make Strawberry variety for years. I want strawberry milk flavored cereal (like Strawberry Shortcake), not cereal that tastes like authentic strawberries.
It seems like this Crazy Cow Cereal was an epitome of cereals turning your milk a certain flavored milk at the time. If I didn't know better at the time, if I saw that cartoon version of JJ from "Good Times", I would have thought that "Good Times" had a cartoon spin off show.
When I worked for a supermarket back in the '80s, I remember when Cheerios had put a "Power Ball" in boxes as a prize. The reason I remember this is because the store manager told us to pull the boxes from the shelf, because some kids choked on the toy and General Mills recalled them.
I did not remember this cereal, but my brother said that we did have it back in the day. My family had 8 people in it, so my mother usually had several different varieties of cereal in the cupboard. My brother said that we had the strawberry kind... I guess there was no sense in buying the chocolate one since Cocoa Puffs was always around.
As a fan of strawberry flavored cereal this cereal was so good and sorely missed. The closest we've gotten to this is the (now discontinued) MoM Our Strawberry Blonde cereal. Not sure why strawberry flavored cereals like this are so rare these days. I keep powdered Strawberry Quik in the cupboard to flavor my milk with some plain cheerios since that is the closest we'll get I guess. Also I bought that ball after seeing that illustration on the box. And yes my friends and I would try and bounce it over the house and it comes very close and easily would bounce into someones yard that took us forever to find afterwards.
I can remember being a kid in the 1980s and watching a film from the 1970s in Health class that featured this cereal as an example of unhealthy cereals targeted at kids.
I remember the puff plane in boxes of Count Chocula and the pop rocket in boxes of Frankenberry (every box I had, the rocket was blue..) in 1971. General Mills looks like they borrowed the prizes from those cereals for the test market.
Malt-O-Meal Cold Stone Strawberry Blonde is a good replacement for Crazy Cow Strawberry... you'll have to pick out the graham cracker and marbits though ;)
I do miss strawberry and banana flavored milk. Some of my favorite drinks back when I could have sugary things. Amazing to think that crazy cow sold so well they couldn't even make enough for the demand. XD
I must say that this review really moooooved me. Sorry,..that was bad....luckily I do not have any udders to share with you all. I know I know...I'm just milking this for all it's worth.
Geez...how times have changed. When we think of crazy cows, we think about the mad cows from Great Britain, some Nunes cow telling us to eat more chicken, and the C.O.W. boys of Moo Mesa.
It was good cereal, they should bring it back. When I was a teen in the late 70's, my friends and me would smoke a lot of buds and raid the cereal , and Crazy Cow strawberry was a favorite amongst us, so was Fruity Pebbles, Cap'n Crunch, Quisp, and my all-time favorite Nabisco Shredded Wheat (the large biscuts). But while being stoned, the fact that Crazy Cow being a male did not escape us, we all thought , wow man, that's not right, what the Hell?, a cow is a female, man. Ha, ha. Cool review, man. Bob. G
I wonder why GM didn't roll out Crazy Cow nationally for 6 years? Hell, GM even rolled out Berry Berry Kix in March of 1993 only 6 months after its Fall 1992 test market.
If you could go back in time and purchase 10 cereals from the past and bring those cereals to the present to try on your Cereal Time channel, which 10 cereals from the past would get? These could be cereals that you never got the chance to eat or cereals that you loved from the past but are no longer made. My guess is " Sir Grapefellow " would be one of the cereals you would go back in the past to get. Please make a video about the 10 cereals you would like to bring to the present so that you could try them? Also, there would be no problems with your time travel. For example you would not disrupt any time line or cause any problems with the time line. Nothing would change because you went back in time to get some cereals. Also you could not get stuck in the past with no way to return to the present :-)
Wish I could of tried this cereal...no idea if it ever hit CANADIAN Cereal aisle's.. Do you collect cereal premium's ??? If you do how about a video on some of those ... :)
Hey Gabe, I've recently come across a new Kelloggs cereal called Zimmy's cinnamon stars. It's flavored with brown sugar and cinnamon. Do they have them in the states, and have you tried them?
@@CerealTimeTV Here's the General Mills retirement center Crazy Cow - Retired due to everybody thinks she's a boy due to her voice and look. HT the Robot - Retired due to that he malfunctioned and didn't know the flavor. Fruit Brute - Retired because he wasn't marketed on TV much. Fruity Yummy Mummy - Retired because Boo Berry wanted his spot back. The kid from "Wackies" - Retired due to the fact that no one liked the banana-flavored marbits on his cereal. The "Kaboom" clown - Retired because his cereal didn't taste the same anymore. Mr. Wonderfull - Retired due to his deceptive claims that his cereal is nutritional. Wendell - Retired due to an incident of his invention of living cinnamon squares. Cocoa Puffs Kids - Retired because Sonny stole their cereal. I can't think of others.
Loosely, a COW can be a bovine of either sex especially in the beef trade. As in: "Mr. Thompson, the rancher, told us all those cows had to be loaded onto the truck in 15 minutes flat to go to the slaughterhouse." A COW on a dairy farm is most likely to be female. It's all about the milk on a dairy. Male bovines are variously, steers, oxen and bulls.
I hear you about the gender confusion. Crazy Cow cereal would make your milk different colors. Crazy Bull yogurt would make your hair stand up straight and be a sticky mess.

Fun fact: Melanie Martinez made this song with this cereal box
I wish they still made this cereal! It was so good!!

This cereal looks good
I want GM to bring it back so i can try it for myself
A vainilla crazy cow should be cool.
Both Crazy Cow cereals were delicious. I'd love for them to bring it back.
tuning in from 1981 this cereal is my fav. rocks!
I’m old and remember this cereal. It was my favorite. It really worked, it turned the Milk chocolate!
Or a reasonable facsimile.
@@small_edI wonder if technicolor Clarabelle Cow
Ate this cereal
Since she's a cow
@Cereal Time TV Finally!
I love your videos stay crunchy
This was my favorite back when I was young. Ahhh, memories.
Oh, I remember you tried reviewing this cereal almost 5 years ago, and I'm glad to see this new video today!
I remember the puff plane in boxes of Count Chocula and the pop rocket in boxes of Frankenberry (every box I had, the rocket was blue..) in 1971. General Mills looks like they borrowed the prizes from those cereals for the test market.
basically the cereal just like nestle milo cereal ( only available in asia ) but it has milo flavor not regular chocolate
That’s ME in the end of that commercial. Filmed at Edwards Air Force Base
Finally you actually made this video without getting interrupted by going back in time or getting poisoned LOL
Finally, you made a video about it.
Malt-O-Meal Cold Stone Strawberry Blonde is a good replacement for Crazy Cow Strawberry... you'll have to pick out the graham cracker and marbits though ;)

Real quick what year did you go to again, I’m too lazy to check
Finally after years of teasing you finally did it. You covered crazy cow i thought this was an April fools prank but no it’s real.

What is the story behind your intro theme lol?
i loved crazy cow when i was a kid i wish i had a box

🤣
Careful, you're close to the TIPPING point.
isn't it related to those straws with beads inside that change your milk into chocolate milk when you sip?
I was 3 years old when this came out, I never had it, did anybody mix the two together?
Geez...how times have changed. When we think of crazy cows, we think about the mad cows from Great Britain, some Nunes cow telling us to eat more chicken, and the C.O.W. boys of Moo Mesa.
Ever since GM discontinued the oat recipe count chocula just isn’t the same. Haven’t bought any of the monsters cereal in years.
I loved that cereal. Both flavors. I collected those many years ago too. Gabe did you get that box from me about 10 years ago?
Oh maybe, John? I don’t remember which boxes I got from you, but there’s a good chance. 🤣
You Should Do A Review About The New Crayola Cereal
Omg it here
Can you please talk about The Pink Panther flakes?
Can't find the chocolate crazy cow video on your channel because I think that video was about you tried to time travel
Can't wait for that shaq frosted flakes cereal video

Maybe it was because it was kinda same with cocoa puffs.
Try taking kix cereal then coding it with strawberry or chocolate nesquik drink mix

Take 2 alright let’s do that again
Do you Gabe ever pour almond milk, coconut milk, or rice milk into your cereal?
Almond is pretty much all I use these days
Can you do a video on the cartoon network cereals
About time you did a Crazy Cow Cereal review, I always wondered why it took so long after two attempts.
Maybe the crazy cow was a lady with a deep voice :D
Hey Gabe, I've recently come across a new Kelloggs cereal called Zimmy's cinnamon stars. It's flavored with brown sugar and cinnamon. Do they have them in the states, and have you tried them?
Never heard of them. I’ll look them up...
Just like the barnyard movie
I'm assuming this was the precursor to Coca Puffs
For me, I think that the Crazy Cow was a female cow trying to disguise herself as a male cereal mascot.
Good theory! I like it!

I would think the racial element of having an African American character promoting a cereal that changed milk chocolate would be problematic.
