I thought Peter Odili was once a Deputy Governor of Old rivers state before the creation of Bayelsa, no? So if after serving as deputy governor, governor and his wife as judge etc., he could still not build a house, then that is a clear indication that the man is not corrupt. Not surprising because M I Okpara, former premier of Eastern Nigeria, Akanu Ibiam, former governor-general, General Ironsi etc. never owned any houses anywhere too despite having ample opportunities to corruptly enrich themselves.
Odili looted Rivers State dry. He built one of the best hospital in South Africa and he built a gas turbine in Omoku were they powered it up with generator.

@DogonTurenchi-c6y I never said Wike rescued him from poverty rather during Amaechi tenure Wike carried all his loyalist to pledge l loyalty to Odili because he was driven out of the state by Amaechi after he rigged PDP election for Omehia knowing that Amaechi won the PDP primaries. That incident brought the fall of Odili in Rivers state. Well, the Hospital in SA is not a fiction but rather it’s a fact and he lost it to the man whom he used his name and the reason he had a fall out with the man was because he wanted his daughter to be in charge of the hospital. Then he stole rivers money by building the gas turbines in Omoku and during the lunching of the place the turbin was powered with a generator. It was one of the reasons they didn’t give him PDP presidential ticket. He was into chop I chop governance.

What is the name of the hospital and how much did it cost? A gas turbine does not have to be fully functional on the day of its political launching. For technical reasons it has to be progressively fired up over a period to work properly so you need further information about the said facility before you can draw conclusions. All of these reek of hearsay to be honest. As for Amaechi was he a junior assistant to Peter Odili in his clinic- yes/no? Did Odili adopt him from obscurity to political relevance all the way to the governorship contest, yes/no? Did Odili also campaign for Amaechi's PDP governorship candidature which Amaechi won yes/no? Now, was it Odili or Obasanjo who declared that Amaechi's win had k-leg and blocked him from contesting? Was PDP right to replace Amaechi with Omehia when it became clear that Obasanjo did not approve of him? Anyway, I don't give two flying ducks about whatever is going on in that place but it seems that the local elite in that state are so disorganised and singularly unable to gets their acts together and wield power for the benefit of the masses.
Odili built a house before Wike became Governor. How can you believe that? Even his wife alone can afford to build a magnificent house. I think Odili wanted a palatial house like that of a King and Wike built it for him with Rivers money. People change houses from time to time
