Finally!!! Guessing Burmese English Accent has just arrived!
Do you guys know about Myanmar well? How well you guys know about Myanmar!? Well…as the one who came from one of East Asian countries, Korea, I can’t say that I know well about Burma! Anyway you guys might have seen me taking video with one Burmese guy! He’s from Myanmar of course, and his name is Trillion (You guys remember his name huh)
so in this video, 3 foreigners ( Jay:Korean / Pierre:Thai / Taka: Japanese ) are being tested to find out whether we can understand Burmese English accent! Frankly speaking…I’ve made some series of video “Foreigners guessing non-native English speakers’ accents” and I can dare to say that this Burmese English accent was the hardest one…I feel like I still have a headache lol…

Myanmar speakers can speak more tones,tunes,pronunciation than any other nations in the world.They can pronouce english,french,german,russian,japanese,chinese or any other languages by using their own language.For example,a korean or a thai can't pronounce french or german correctly using their own languages.It has universal versatile tongues and it can also bridge to any other tongues in the planet.I knew that after learning about 40 languages as a linguist.

Can I know how you study languages cause I want to learn languages for connecting with other countries 😢
But there is two sounds that Burmese language doesn't have. They are (V) sound and (F) sound.
That's right.
As a Burmese,whenever I want to learn new languages, I write the accent in Burmese and then I speak and read.
Burmese alphabets are the basic words for all languages. 😮
@@MMAirdropKing 45% of younger generation can speak Thai Chinese Japanese. We can easily pronounce it bro.Most of younger generations are multilingual.

Hi, I’m a Burmese girl watching this video... I speak fluent English and I have a neutral English accent with a little bit of faint American in it. This video is quite funny though... I usually hear our fellow Burmese people speak English the way Trillion does. 😂😂 However, there are a lot of people in our country, who speak fluently like me. Especially, international school students. By the way, you guys made my day! It was fun watching your video.

Hahaha this is fun. I’m a Burmese and I got two wrong, bag and pork lol. Thought it was back and pot. And yes I don’t think most people who interact with foreigners would use these pronunciation but to Burmese people you can use this type of pronunciation and yes they got you.

I think some of the words he mentioned in this video are not "burmese accent". These are myanmar version of English words like company and director as well. Some are truly burmese accent like mountain. Anyway, thanks for the video.

Actually, I am a Burmese and don't understand some of the words Trillion chose either. The word like "card" is a good example of a Burmanized English word. Ordinary Burmese people on the streets can relate to it. It will be more fun if he chose more examples from everyday words such as car, card, company, computer, contractor, motorcycle and phone.
For building, pork and elephant, I cannot guess it right too. Maybe it is how heavily accented people pronounce. LOL.... They are not Burmanized English words. Instead of those words, Burmese people will use Burmese words. But, for the sake of fun, well done!!!

I don't agree with the fact that Burmese accent is the most difficult one when compared to Thai and Japanese, when visiting Thailand for the first time, even tour guide mispronounced the river into Liver, but when visiting Myanmar I can easily communicate with locals though they speak with a few grammar mistakes.
I have watched 4 videos and this is my rank from easiest to hardest to catch those words:
1. Thai (incorrect word: Lotus)
2. Korean (Hangeul alphabet is a bit helping me for guessing)
3. Japanese (only 2 correct)
4. Burmese (completely failed)
Seriously then you gotta hit your book,Burmese accent is really easy to understand.

To be fair, I feel like he is speaking Myanglish (English words in Burmese/Myanmar pronunciation). They are mostly adopted words such as company and director.

I'm Burmese and guess what? 😂 I got three words wrong: Building, Bag and Pork. 😅 To be quite honest, what I believe is that Myanmar People have different English accent individually. You might hear a certain word from one Burmese but you can still hear different pronunciation for that exact word from another Burmese (For me I used to call Bayladin instead of Building when I was young😂) this is just my opinion 😅

ohhhh minglabaaaaa! glad that I can see two Burmese people together in my channel haha!! It's really interesting for me to know a certain culture more by guessing their English accents (even though it doesn't help me understand them 100% but I believe at some part this video helps hehe) anyway I'm super glad that I have a Burmese friend, Trillion.
