Bro Darius we thank and appreciate yall for letting GOD use you🙌🙌 to break yokes, love yall, still playing these songs over and over. Ps. And the reunion.❤😄
I attended the Tommies Reunion on August 29, 2016, at New Faith Baptist Church in Matteson, IL. It was an uplifting event with Darius Brooks and The Dream Team and Choir, who were introduced by Edward Hawkins. A full house and too many Gospel heroes to list - includingMinisters, Directors, Composers, Singers and Musicians - were in attendance. If you weren't there, wait until you see the Video of this stunning concert!
Oh wow I was blessed to be there!!That was a night I will always remember watching my favorite choir and having the time of my life! They were so awesome no one wanted to go home!
Darius is a beautiful and gracious brother. Had a wonderful opportunity to meet him back in June and the man was just just an outstanding, open , blessed brother. Darius thanks for letting God use you and your gifts- pray I can be a blessing to you.
I cant lie, I used to wonder where in the world these people came from...such talent! I mean they were flawless, looked like the neer broke a sweat, not mention those pipes. Kim McFarland...woooooLawd!
You have to order a copy from Darius' Journey Music Group's website. I got the Reunion CD Side B and this video from there a couple of years ago because I really wanted "For The Rest Of My Life." I love that song.
Yes, there is a clip of them doing Great Things in its entirety on the "Rise Up and Walk" VHS. I don't think they released on DVD yet though. But the VHS was done when Rev. Brunson was still with us. That's usually Randi hitting those high outrageous notes on those modulations. LOL. Go girl!!!
@jariusew123......MS. HOLLOWAY SINGING IN THAT HEAVENLY CHOIR FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS NOW......THANK GOD FOR ALBUMS RECORDED YEARS AGO.......WE CAN STILL LISTEN TO HER ANGELIC VOICE!!
It's on the album with the original Safe In His Arms The title might be "There Is Hope" though by Rev. Milton Brunson and the Thompson Community Singers as well as on one of their "Greatest Hits" cd's. Then I believe Darius recorded it again on his solo project "My Soul"
That's not Darius Brooks directing, that's Tyrone Block, probably the best known director of the Tommies through the ages. Darius Brooks directs the band from the keyboard. Every now and then he directs the choir. But major directing comes from the one and only Tyrone Block.
I thought the guy on bass was Sha’ray Reed! Am I wrong? Does anyone know what happened to Parnell Johnson the original bass player for the Thompson Community Choir?
GospelDiva you know your stuff Girl! Tyrone Block is the greatest... And You dont want Darious Brooks nowhere but on that keyboard or errrbody would be even mo toe up! LOL
Still listening in 2024....praise God for this ministry in music. So uplifting...
Timeless sound. It never ages. 2024 November listening.
WILL ALWAYS LOVE THE TOMMIE'S

I looked for it to, but I don't think they have a clip of that's song in it's entirety...That is like one of my favorite Milton Brunson cuts though..
THE TOMMIES SHUR ENOUGH HAS IT GOING ON
Don't forget about that Pam Crawford...
Can anyone tell me where i can find the song Lord I Believe by Darius Brooks.
It's on the 1986 album There Is Hope.
Why didn't leaders like Sylvia Nicholson and Pam Crawford come back for the reunioin and Ms. Holloway?
Ethel Holloway died. Sylvia Mickens was Music Ministry Coordinator of Michigan and helped her preaching brother.
is evang silvia mickens on here singing "there is no way"?
Did they record this at the same church when they did "rise up and walk"?
LAMAR JONES ON THE BASS !!! LOVE THE TOMMIES !!!
I thought the guy on bass was Sha’ray Reed! Am I wrong? Does anyone know what happened to Parnell Johnson the original bass player for the Thompson Community Choir?
