I'm here because I have one of these , I bought it because I like Panasonic hi fi's . I bought it a couple of years ago and I never used it , I was going to throw it out when I was getting rid of stuff in my house but I decided not to throw it away and kept it. I have bought a pair of Panasonic speakers for it from eBay, they were brand new unused book shelf speakers. I bought a new stylus as the one it had was fine but I didn't know how old it was. I started by cleaning the tape heads and rubber wheel. That was like new afterwards I opened it up and tweaked the speed on the record player. I'm going to get another belt for the record player, but it looks and sounds great. I was glad I didn't throw it out as I get brilliant recordings off the record player! Cheers for the video as I was worrying about the state of the tape deck belts!!!
Wow, I bought one of these back in the 80's when they where new. 85 86 I think it was. Never seen one since then. Not been missing it for a second... Just a cheap all in one system that came with two Jamo bookshelf speakers if I remember correctly. The speakers was good, the SG-X10 was just cheap and with a low power amp in it. Btw there must be at least 1 belt in it, connecting the motor to the flywheel on the capstan shaft.
Yes, you're probably right about the belt. I think mine must have had replacement speakers, as it sounded much better with my own speakers. Cheap, but nice enough functions. Very retro-cool. Sad to see it go, really.

@@davarosmith1334 Cool. I loved the look of the centre, but wasn't using it.
Enjoyed this one. It reminds me to check these rubber parts on future gear as they can be sometimes tricky to source replacements for.
Thanks. Good luck with your MD eBay sale.
so interesting....
🤨
Yikes! I had one of those systems 30 years ago. It was actually pretty good as I recall.
I really liked it, but didn't use it. At least it's gone to a good home.
Interesting.... That cassette mechanism is identical to the one I had in a Panasonic boombox from 1984.
Was your boombox a slide-out cassette drawer too?
@@CBitsTech Look up Panasonic RX-F4. Regular style of boombox, but with the same mechanism mounted vertically.
