I think 2k16 has more aesthetically pleasing faces and more consistently good faces (some of the Live 16 faces were really bad). But most of the Live 16 faces look more human. Marcus Smart's face is a good example. And the Dragic face is FANTASTIC on Live 16, actually looks real.
It's weird. Overall 2k has the more consistency with look-a-like graphics, BUT, for the few faces Live hit on they really made spot on life like images of these dudes. IF they just took the time to give a shit and do that for everyone they'd by far have the better graphics. But of course they half assed it like they always do so 2k gets the nod.
The actual skin textures + the normals/spec maps in 2K are clearly more higher res through out the video (Snell's face at 0:47 looks insanely detailed, but 2K eyebrows look terrible), and while Live has nice textures too, you can tell they've used compression on them to get them to a certain size because they look pretty blurry for a next gen game. They're also way more "shiny" than they needed to be (which might be the detail everyone in the comments are talking about), and it also looks like they're using just one "sweat" map for every player. The real tell I think is when you look at the Chandler Parsons comparison (4:30). All that detail on the Live face isn't actually the face texture, it's the spec map (google it). You're not supposed to be able to see the spec map like that, it's supposed to only be seen at certain angles/lighting conditions, even if he is sweating. It's a lighting trick, and I think EA just made it super visible because that actual face textures aren't all that detailed. Besides that, I think they're both hit & miss with the player faces. Westbrook looks almost terrible in 2K (6:56), while Live seemingly just added a random player face to Mudiay (4:58).

I really wish they came out with a sports game for PC. The only reason I even own a PS4 is for Madden and NBA. If they put out these games on PC's we could just play them with a controller anyways but they could do so much more. The graphics cards and processors in modern day PC's take shits bigger than what's in a console. Imagine the life like graphics at 144 fps with unlimited variables, shadows, and sequences that could be programmed into a computer football game. You would never see the same tackle twice.

to me, Live looks more photorealistic, 2K a bit cartoony in comparison. but 2K has smoother animations and gameplay, EA Sports has an issue with choppy animations and cutaways
I think both games have some dodgy models but 2k16's dodgy models are only slightly messed up, Live's you can't even tell who the person's supposed to be
