Those steel mates look interesting. I use two electrical staples per hook. Fairly quick to install, theyre cheap, and its incredibly easy to strip. They hold really strong as well. Its pretty rare that i have a hook pushed during the pour

There’s something called duplex screws. Extra long 1/4” hex head that can be driven with a nut driver or even the 1/4” chuck of an impact driver. Easy to keep clean and easy to knock concrete off after the fact. Pretty cool. I think they come in 1-1/2” and 2-1/2”.

Would love to work with you guys. Rare to find the non; chest thumping, egotistical tradesmen. Have learned leaps from the real craftsmen that consider more than banging nails etc.
    Keep up the good work!

The Bob Loblaw Law Blog comment made me do a double take. Haven't heard that in years. Way to punch it in!
I'm getting ready to do my first foundation in 12 years and I've really appreciated learning about some of the new products and your thoughts.

Well we originally started watching your videos as a class in carpentry level 1, so know that your educational videos are being used as such :)

You should check out the Stabila LA 180L for laying out foundation and walls. One person operation. Pricey but worth it.

What specifically gives you confidence that your layout on formwork hasn't moved in any direction or a combination of directions enough to cause issues later?

Probably 20+ years experience plus this looks like it's getting blocks on top which can be straightened out anyway

How do you store and transport forming pegs? I usually just let them roll around but I bought a new truck so I want to develop a system for this one

Just an observation, but why only place the safety caps on the rebar and not the steel stake?

Do you think if you put turnbuckles in that would have prevented your blowout. Also some guys put Vaseline on screw holes and makes them easy to reveal

AKA a mattock. Great for stripping forms too. It pry the form and stakes up and away from the new green concrete.
