How to do a Navamsa Chart?

- Navamsa Chart always accompanies a Rasi Chart. Navamsa is the queen of all charts while the Rasi Chart is the King. The Rasi Chart is the real sky when you were born but the Navamsa Chart is something else. How is it done? Should you not know about it? Even though the horoscope software does it perfectly, should you not know how it is done? If you watch this video you will know how exactly to do it.

excellent vedio. In this age of softwares we tend to skip these important techniques which are very valuable. I am probably watching this vedio for the 10th time. Sun is in debilitated Navamsa so that is bad. But what is the SHADBALA of SUN? That can change the debilitation status.

1st: 0*00~3*20'
2nd: 3*20'~6*40'
3rd: 6*40'~10*00 ...and so on. So i never knew what to do with a planet at, say, 6*40'! 2nd or 3rd?

Hello Sir, I think there's another easier way to D-9. Plants sitting in Ketu/Moon/Jupiter stars go into the first 4 navamsas ending in Cancer, Venus/Mars/Saturn stars go into the 2nd 4 navamsas ending in Scorpio, Sun/Rahu/Budhan stars into the 3rd navamsa. Your opinion kindly requested. In this context, Mars in ashwini 4th pada sits in D-9 Cancer, so I think debilitation has no value in a varga, unless of course Mars in Ketu's 4th pada has an issue. If you can clear this up as well, much appreciated.

Namaskar Dhilipji, what is the significance of karakamsa lagna? A native has Kanya as karakamsa lagna but Buddha has low digbala and is debilitated in rasi kundli.

South Indian style chart is confusing. Please use north Indian kundli chart. It looks neat and understandable.
Sir, I have a doubt. While reading the main chart and the divisional chart together, should we compare and see how these signs have changed.
Suppose a person has the sign of Aquarius in the 8th house of the main chart, and Aquarius is in the 10th house of Dasamsa (D10), with Saturn and Rahu in it. What all can this signify ?

what if the ascendant does not have a planet? then how do we place the ascendant in navamsa? like how do we know which sign comes in first house of navamsa chart? and from which planet should we start plotting the navamsa?
+Shantanu Joshi This has been explained in the chart. Use the same method. Consider the Lagna (Ascendant) as a graha (Planet) and proceed with the same idea. If in Mesha Lagna the Lagna is at 3 degrees, place it in the Navamsa of Mesha in the Navamsa Chart too. If the Ascendant is Taurus 3 degrees, place it in Capricorn in the Navamsa Chart. Hope you understand.
Hello Sir, I watched your video and thus is very useful to understand and do the Navamsa chart by own. I have doubts, if the planets have 26d 35m, which place this planet will be in Navamsa chart, 8th or 9th ?
upto 3 20, 6 40, 10 00, 13 20, 16 40, 20 00, 23 20, 26 40, 30 00 are the 9 Navamsa. So 26d 35m is the 8th Navamsa.

Oh My God. 21st century people want to add as much confusion to astrology as possible. Please stay with what the Ancient Maharishis discussed. Do not invent new ideas. We are good as science. But not in Astrology. So let us follow ancient ideas only.

Dear Sri Dilip Kumar, I have noticed a difference between your video on "How to do a Navamsa Chart?" and "Navamsa Calculator using MS Excel" - For example, Mercury at 6 Degree in Gemini is shown in Scorpio according to the MS Excel work book whereas, according to your video, it is in Sagittarius, counting THREE houses from Libra, the Movable sign. Which is correct? Please clarify. Thanks.
If it is 6 degrees Gemini then it will be in Scorpio only. Only if the said graha is after 6 degree and 40 minutes then it would go to the next Navamsa.

I had found that if we gave same birth time with entirely different location (2.00AM India 2.00AM NY,USA) or different time as per location (2.00AM India & 12.00PM NY,USA) as input then I got D1 chart is same for both above mentioned conditions only navamsa is changing. Pls correct me it if I'm wrong.

Game ByChance If planets are placed in Pushkar Navamsa, it is a kind of rajayoga for fame and celebrity status or greater achievement. Out of 24 pushkara Navamsa, 3 are Vargottama (meaning they occupy same sign in both Rasi and Navamsa chart. I have noticed planets in such Navamsa producing famous people. I am lucky to have Saturn and Moon in Pushkar Navamsa, both are in Jupiter Navamsa.

There are no longitudes in any divisional chart. Because the longitudes happen only in the RASI CHART. From the longitudes the divisional charts are done. So how can the divisional charts have longitudes?
Thanks for ur reply Sir,Recently I had my horoscope consultation with kapiel raaj(hope you knew him better than all)and i took my horoscope chart from astrosage & jagannatha horo also to cross check,I found all the positions of planets are similar,but when i cross check my navamsa from all the charts,i found there is difference of one degree 23 minutes with planets rahu and ketu.So I rechecked many times my birth details,place,time,date,longitude & latitude,sunset & sun rise,Sidereal time,GST are near similar in the charts,but disimilar in janma ghatis and degree of rahu & ketu planets which is about one degree 23 mins(i.e,degrees of rahu ketu is 4 deg 31 mins in kapiel'chart and 3deg 8 mins in jagannatha hora and astrosage chart).Because of this deg difference,Rahu falls in 2nd house in my navamsa according to kapiel where as in jagannatha chart or astrosage chart ,rahu falls in 1st house of my navamsa and obviously this difference will alter the predictions.So which chart should i consider accurate?why there is degree diff with amongst all the astrologers?if longitudes are not considered in D9,then how to predict efficiency of conjuctions in D9 chart?And last question,When D9 chart will start activating in one's life(if not married)? ..............Sorry if you find my is question is too long..............Hope i will get the answer for my questions.

+Animesh Roy (Bob) For planets placed in Taurus the counting for Navamsa starts from Capricorn. Please watch the video again. I have covered this. It is not about odd or even signs. That is for DASAMSA Chart. For Navamsa Chart it is the question of Moveable sign, Fixed Signs and Common signs. Counting always starts from an MOVEABLE sign.

iam a aries asendent my jupiter is retrograde at 7.18 deg in main birth chart yet people still feel i will have a very good jupiter dusha but iam not so sure is this cus i have jupiter in 7th house of main birth chart looking at first house {the lagna} or cus i have jupiter in 1st house of navamsa? is jupiter in the first house of nav chart good or bad it has number 9 under it in nav chart in first house i hop understand more now
