Anybody else feel like the Lyrics of V1 Shucks apply more to Slingmingo knowing he would be found up and how it would end, significantly more so compared to the whole “Does Bad Things Guy Plotline” Like, it has the dude talking about how his Accomplishments, Life, And Legacy are all forfeit in the end, and it’s up to a third party to look back at it, and if they want, continue it. It’s somewhat of an allegory of what happened to JEA. slingmingo was found out, the project and all its work was scrapped, and those bitter and wanting to keep grasping onto the past simply rebranded the mod to try and separate it from its predecessor. However, no matter how many owners this mod changes to, no matter how many changes are made from the source, the creations following will always and forever have their place founded in deceit, and Slingmingos name. No new coats of paint or removing of his original creations from any projects can change this, and he knows. He’s said himself that he has infiltrated other mods under fake guises, waiting to strike. At best he’s just messing around, and creators just need to move on from the fact that he outsmarted you, and heck he might’ve even broke his cover on purpose to mess with you, he knows the menace he’s being and he enjoys seeing you all sperg out. And at worst (While I don’t care for this game and its community whatsoever, I’m just here for the music) He’s created a plan that could take down this entire community, and possibly stunt it for months or years. He’s sown the seeds of deceit into the soil of the community consciousness, paranoia is sure to follow if this revelations proven true. Countless mods could be destroyed if sling continues to go unnoticed and spread his influence, and with this incident occurring he will most likely be more careful. Slingmingo may be a terrible person, but he knows what he’s doing and how to do it. Hes most likely thought this plan out meticulously at every step, and plans to bring this whole community down with him no matter the cost. This is some genuine supervillain crap. Anybody else feel like the Lyrics of V1 Shucks apply more to Slingmingo knowing he would be found up and how it would end, significantly more so compared to the whole “Does Bad Things Guy Plotline”
Like, it has the dude talking about how his Accomplishments, Life, And Legacy are all forfeit in the end, and it’s up to a third party to look back at it, and if they want, continue it.
It’s somewhat of an allegory of what happened to JEA. slingmingo was found out, the project and all its work was scrapped, and those bitter and wanting to keep grasping onto the past simply rebranded the mod to try and separate it from its predecessor. However, no matter how many owners this mod changes to, no matter how many changes are made from the source, the creations following will always and forever have their place founded in deceit, and Slingmingos name.
No new coats of paint or removing of his original creations from any projects can change this, and he knows. He’s said himself that he has infiltrated other mods under fake guises, waiting to strike.
At best he’s just messing around, and creators just need to move on from the fact that he outsmarted you, and heck he might’ve even broke his cover on purpose to mess with you, he knows the menace he’s being and he enjoys seeing you all sperg out.
And at worst (While I don’t care for this game and its community whatsoever, I’m just here for the music) He’s created a plan that could take down this entire community, and possibly stunt it for months or years. He’s sown the seeds of deceit into the soil of the community consciousness, paranoia is sure to follow if this revelations proven true. Countless mods could be destroyed if sling continues to go unnoticed and spread his influence, and with this incident occurring he will most likely be more careful.
Slingmingo may be a terrible person, but he knows what he’s doing and how to do it. Hes most likely thought this plan out meticulously at every step, and plans to bring this whole community down with him no matter the cost. This is some genuine supervillain crap.
