Sweet sweet lovely iconic Kumina riddim by di legendary producer duo's dem selves Sly & Robbie (R.I.P. mr. Robbie Shakespeare) real dancehall fans will always remember wah unno did fi dancehall kulcha 🇯🇲 One ❤ love and respect from Suriname 🇸🇷
According to my research, Kumina is a Jamaican religion, basically just a continuation of African based beliefs carried over to the Caribbean. This was also heavily accompanied by the Nyabinghi drums, these drums originate from the Asante/Ashanti empire of modern day Ghana. The enslaved Ashanti/Akan related groups brought this drumming tradition with them which would form the foundation of many later popular music genres such as Ska and Reggae

Sly and Robbie are masters of Jamaican music 🇯🇲
There is a much older Kumina dancehall riddim now used at Soca events. Innocent Kru from early 2000s. 🇯🇲❤️💛💚
