My mom is an atheist and she PRACTICES higher moral and loving standards than most Christians I have ever met. I even used to go to church but I just got tired of the judgment and hypocrisy and greed...
I am a former Catholic/Lutheran (raised in a divided house) and have been living a comfortably spiritual life without religion for at least 3 decades now. Once I realized that religion is man made, I freed myself to communicate directly with my Higher Power.❤️
Well said and well done. Religion is responsible for the majority of wars and terrorism in the world. Spirituality is about unity and inclusion, whereas religion is about division and separation. Religion is full of superstition and fear, whereas Spirituality is about Truth and Reality. Thank you so much for using your gift to help keep us calm and informed. ❤️🙏😇
My Mother was an astrologer and believed in reincarnation long long before it was popular. She was also a devout Christian. She believed that these arts were given to us by God to help us sort out our lives. She did not see at all a divide between her spiritual beliefs and her psychic studies.
I will never forget the cruel behavior from churches in the 1980’s throwing out gay men with AIDS….never will forget the one place that is supposed to love you……….thank you Maryann!!!! Much love! ❤ I see Jesus as a master teacher and one of our greatest examples of love…..❤
Marianne, wear whatever you want to wear. What I resent is when politicians tell us what we should believe. We don’t want to be told what to believe. Politicians shouldn’t be involved with what goes on in our bedrooms or what goes on in our houses of worship, if, in fact, we do have houses of worship. Thank you for reminding us of our freedoms.
Do you actually think that the creator is a male ? I am just curious and I have no judgment on what you say and think. My father's whole idea of religion (and he was a devout Catholic) was always the same: Just don't hurt anybody, help if you can. And the most important is forgiveness, the central message of Christianity.
I go to church every Sunday & I enjoy my minister’s sermon where she gives me food for thought. I belong to a very kind, inclusive and non judgemental church community. I was raised Catholic, but my mother had an NDE when I was 6 or 7, and afterwards she was so much more open minded about spirituality. She started reading books on Buddhism and witchcraft. It seems to me that when religious people demand others believe only what they believe, that’s purely ego. And ego is purely of man, not spirit or god. And when my mother had an experience of that pure light and love, she was able to put aside her ego, and more fully embrace spirituality. When I was 17, my mother bought me a white gold cross with a tiny diamond, and even tho I don’t identify as Christian, I put it on my charm bracelet.

Thank you, for this podcast! I was raised in a parochial school, where religion was studied (crammed down my throat) five days a week. As a child, I was also forced to attend Sunday school on Sundays. I'm now 69 years old and call myself "spiritual" not religious. I also call myself a "recovering Christian." I understand the question this woman sent you. I understand the fear, concern, and intolerance these people have towards what the Bible calls "soothsayers" I had those fears and concerns for decades. I still hold some of these concerns. Your channel brings me tremendous hope and peace. I love the way you think, as it's exactly how I've come to believe. Please keep doing what you're doing! You bring a lot of love, light and hope to the world!💖
Maryann your explanation is EXACTLY how I feel and aligns with my path. I was brought up in a strict southern Baptist church and was taught hell and brimstone for all who were different. But I too learned to reject those notions and grow spiritually without the religious dogma. I don’t belong and will never belong to any organized religion. And I find NO contradiction in tarot or astrology with my spirituality. We are energy beings and spirit can be found in any energy work once you drop the religious man made dogma. I appreciate your work so very much and I feel your sincerity and kindness and love in your readings. And after all the dogma is wiped away, we can get to the true messages of Christ and other leaders like him who taught that “God is Love” and when we do what we do in spirit of love we will find him.💕
Maryann, I too used to have questions…what is right, what is wrong. Every religion can’t be right! Can’t be the ONE! That’s when I stopped looking for God in church…because I talked to him every day and didn’t need a mediator. I didn’t ever believe the dogma that I thought was totally wrong, such as we are born into sin. My brand new babies didn’t have a bit of sin. How absurd! You’ve talked through this expertly, concisely, kindly, compassionately. You’re such a dear. Thank you.
THis is a wonderful commentary. When people think their God is bigger than YOUR God, for me is where I jump ship... Dear Maryanne thank you for sharing. I too was raised and Baptized Roman Catholic. I too am very spiritual, I wear my cross necklace too. ❤ Maryann, you owe no one any explanation as to why you wear whatever symbols that you do, but since you did offer one, I just want to say that I love you no matter! My father brought a beautiful star of David back from Majorca to give me. When I do wear it, I think of him and my mother. Period. My spirit resonates with yours for very similar reasons. I do not claim to be religious. I am spiritual. And that works for me. Thank you for giving a voice to that which many of us feel. I look forward to each and every one of your broadcasts. Thank you for putting this out their. I also was raised in the Catholic faith. However, I now believe that one religion or faith is to narrow for me and I’ve had experiences with spirits and no longer close my eyes to them.
Do not judge lest ye be judged! I'm a Presbyterian, and the dogma of religion and judgment turned me off, too. I stopped going to church due to the exclusion of many, but the GOD I believe in includes all with love, kindness, and forgiveness with mercy. My Jewish in laws brought me back the most beautiful hand-made silver cross from Israel years ago. They didn't care that I was a Christian. They were the most loving in laws. I was truly blessed. I honor all and believe we all have GOD given talents as you have Maryann and many have. Love. Thats what we all need to practice daily. I loved your explanation, but you owe no one an explanation. You are a beautiful soul Maryann. You rock!
A fine timely reading. I wear 2 crosses, not because of Jesus, or the Bible which I do not believe in, but as a talisman for my Mom. She wore a diamond heart which I gave her. I hate to think of all the Christian Missionaries who have destroyed local beliefs and traditions in their nonstop efforts to force their beliefs down everyone's throat. We can see where those beliefs have brought the world.
Question why is this lady watching your taro channel when she appears to think it's alright to criticize you, your right she needs to look inwards. Love light and blessings to you Maryanne I find your teaching very helpful thank you. God bless.🦋🕊️🕊️
Former Catholic for all my life except the last 8 years. I listen and learn from you and other likeminded souls on TH-cam. It does feel strange to not go to church anymore, but I am so different now. I feel a real kinship with you, Mary Ann. I’m trying to grow in Spirit in a totally different way now. Thank you for all you do for us on here.🙏🏻💖
I so Loved this reading, I stopped wearing my cross because of what I thought was the only reason for the cross that Jesus was the only sacrifice, you have changed my mind that we all make sacrifices, that is very calming to me thank you so so much for that! And for all those who believe that they are getting in heaven, read Matthew 7:13
Thank you Maryann I was also raised Catholic went to school with Nuns and Priests. I live in Utah, hypocrisy is rampant. Yes , man or humans interpretation of God's word is the biggest hypocrisy. They can be and do what they believe as long as they don't hurt others because of their beliefs. That I'm waiting to experience. I am a two time breast cancer survivor I believe in a higher creator and see the world around me in clear glasses. I am grateful for what I can see in front of me. I am also an empath and the World shows me how much more work is needed. I am a stand for children all in the world for living their lives free and self-expression.
💖🕊 It's very sweet serendipity that you mention John Lennon's great song as a theme. I just read a comment on another Australian reader's site, from someone who saw a gentleman in his 80's, described as looking just like John Lennon might at this age...and he left behind in the restaurant a Japanese Origami Peace crane. It so touched the writer that he took the crane with him, to cherish. 🩷🪽🪽 Bless you and your expression of gifts of grace, Maryann 🕊🙏🌏 And indeed, Bless us All and our gracious gifts. Amen.
From one who survived a religious, fanatic family cult. Bless you, I’ve come to believe love is the answer. You have been a guiding light for me. Thank you for ur service! Much Love
I noticed the cross too, Maryann, and I have to admit my first reaction was a little bit of discomfort, but only momentary and only due to past trauma from the association with bad faith "religious" types. Once I got past that I realized of course it was just what you confirmed here. You did such a great job talking about it. Such an important topic. Use your gifts! A good timely reminder for me. Thanks Maryann. You're the best.💗💚💞💐🌹🌱🌱🌱
I have always known that we can pray anywhere, anytime. We don’t have to be in a church. I’ve always thought labels are rather silly. We are one human race sharing one planet created by God, or Divine Spirit. These labels dictated by various religions separate us, which is sad , divisive, and serves no good . “ Love one another.”. Includes everyone & surely was never meant to create division. Thanks for your inspiration.💙 May God bless you always.🙏
Hi Maryann: I too was raised Catholic 12 years of Catholic school, all the time not realizing that those teachings didn't believe in reincarnation. That's when I really started to expand my knowledge getting into metaphysics, astrology, etc. Spiritual but not religious. Religions divide instead of bring us together. The planet is in a period of transition and eventually most religions will fall by the wayside as we all become more accepting of each other. According to Sterling Psychic Medium (his info really resonates with me). I totally believe that. Happy Thanksgiving! Thanks for your insights and healing messages. You do you!
“I am just me and I believe in what I believe.” I said something close to that just a couple days ago, so I smiled when you did. I went further to say, I don’t need nor want any label that assigns me to a box whether that is witch, Muslim, or xyz. I am eclectic and there is so much freedom in that. Love you Maryann.
When I left Christianity was when I was told to be a serious Christian I had to proselytize to others - in other words judge them and tell them they are living wrong and will go to hell unless they agree with me. This never made sense. I studied Buddhism and now understand the Bible much better than before.
So great to see you beautiful lady! I see and feel your spirituality every time you read. It’s beautiful and all encompassing. Your whole life is in service to the greater collective and it is a divine gift and calling. Let others think what they will - they don’t count. All that matters is you fulfill your calling and I can say you encourage me and give me hope every time you read for us! Bless you! And thank you for all you do for the greater good!❤️🙏
I too am a spiritual human. I pray to mother/father God , Great Spirit, Brother Jesus and Buddha. Believing Jesus was not white, his brother a Jew and Jesus spent years in the east learning from other spiritual guides. So much wisdom coming from those teaching love and compassion. I will not follow anyone preaching judgement and hate. May the world see through the eyes of love and compassion🙏❤️
One of the best parts of Judaism in its pure form is that we do not judge human beings for their religious, cultural beliefs that bring no harm to others. I have never judged anyone by their religious or cultural beliefs. In any case, tarot, astrology, astronomy, mathematics, science comes from the ancestral home of the Jews in modern day Iraq and Iran. I see no issues with these interesting exercises in learning. I grew up with many indigenous families that had been severely damaged as children by the residential schools. I invited my best friends family to my wedding because I would’ve honoured to be there. Their eldest son was my best friend. The father of the family took me aside and explained he could not attend our wedding in any religious ground because of the trauma, the things he and his wife encountered in residential schools. It was my second time of awareness in regards to this horrible issue. I understood. He took me by the shoulders and blessed me in lieu of attendance. It meant a lot to me. As for Christian texts, the English never matches the Greek or Aramaic. I have read both. Prophecy in Jewish, Christian and Muslim sacred texts exists in all three. Btw, not all of Corinthians, and especially Timothy, Peter were written by either man or Paul. They are later editions to their encounters . That’s why it’s contradictory. Likewise what is know as the Christian Old Testament. The list of gifts is definitely Pauline, as in Paul’s writings. These are the earliest collections of his writings.
Thanks Maryanne, I have similar views and basically don't believe in organized religion, but I do think that those that do should have that right and those that don't should have that right too.
Maryann, I love your work. I wish organized religion was not as popular in the U.S. as it is - but to each his own as long as these people don’t try to infringe on my rights or criticize my spiritual beliefs. Yes, I’ve been critical of Christians but not for their personal beliefs but for their intolerance.
Always amazed that the ceilingof the Vatican chaple has images of phrophets (men) and visionaries (female). Yet we rarely see references to the visionaries. Organized religion has not been my source of strength and lessons of peace and equality
I love your secular explanation of the cross as an amulet of protection...it makes so much sense. Ten commandments...innately inherent in our being, i always thought. thank you peace and love
Since I started meditating and became spiritual, I am more happy and compassionate. I agree that religion are made more to control people and they cause wars. I hope everyone who is religious to not judge others religions! It should be private not political.
Thank you for speaking out about faith and religion in such a practical way. We all have the right and choice to believe what feels right for us. Dogmas are powerful ways to control the masses - especially the weaker minded individuals - and teaches judgement as a way to confuse and separate us from our true loving selves. I just love your strength of convictions as you explain what is so true.

I honor all and believe we all have GOD given talents as you have Maryann and many have. Love. Thats what we all need to practice daily. I loved your explanation, but you owe no one an explanation. You are a beautiful soul Maryann. You rock!
TRUUUUTH!🎉❤
I’ve given the cross a new meaning for me. I like how Echart Tolle described it. Vertical is as above,so below. Horizontal bar is linear time.
Thank u!
Thank you for being you. Such correct understanding, you emanate soothing vibrations and peace. Your presence is a blessing❤️17:20
Love this!💕❤️💕
Thank you for these important messages, Mary Ann. 💗
Excellent Maryann! ❤
I love your response to the Cross question.
I was raised in the Christian Church, and after 60 years of pain, I have chosen to be an atheist. What a relief!
❤❤❤ so good!
Amen.
Power to the people right on!
.I am a spritual being having a human experience.
Hi Maryann! Perfect timing, I just put the coffee pot on. I look forward to hearing what you have to say. Thank you Maryann.
Me too. Was up all night worrying ❤
❤❤❤ BLESSINGS, MARYANN.
Thank you Maryann.
Perfection, well said, brava!!! I love you, Ms. Maryann ❤😊
I was raised Catholic as well. And I agree with you 100% regarding (organized) religion. 😊
You do you!
Exactly..!!
*_"What other people think of me is NONE OF MY BUSINESS!"_* -
what I hear from the pulpit every week!!
*You Do You* - yes, Blessings all!
Thanks Maryann. You’re such a comfort in these challenging times.Keep up the good work.❤
Every one is welcome into my energy field as long as they practice love and respect xxx thank you
I have been attempting to achieve a balance between spiritually and my religion.
Bless you! And thank you for all you do for the greater good!❤️🙏
Amen
I too am a spiritual human. I pray to mother/father God , Great Spirit, Brother Jesus and Buddha. Believing Jesus was not white, his brother a Jew and Jesus spent years in the east learning from other spiritual guides. So much wisdom coming from those teaching love and compassion. I will not follow anyone preaching judgement and hate. May the world see through the eyes of love and compassion🙏❤️
Thank you. You and I are closely aligned spiritually, and I so much appreciate your wisdom. ❤
Love your wisdom...😊❤❤❤
All 6.82k of us are with you and we can Imagine🧡
Yes, emotional maturity. Personal responsibility. Choosing your own faith and building your own relationship with God, or whatever you believe in.
Thank you!
Thank you. 🐿
Ten commandments...innately inherent in our being, i always thought.
thank you
peace and love
Thank you MaryAnne,I love watch ing your videos you are a beautiful person inside and out. Don't listen to the negative comments..
Lovely message delivered by a lovely person ❤️ Great thanks!
I have been a hypnotherapist for 30 years. I have not been called "of the devil" for about 15 years. 😅
The dogma is why i left formal religion!! I found if you wanted to meet the meanest opinated judgey abusive folks go to church 😅😅
Hello from Barbara in Missouri USA. I love this video. Faith is in our hearts and is different for everyone. It comforts us and lets us know we are loved and cherished. thank you for all you do. Hugs
My sister and I attended a Church of England primary school. We had never been Christened, and were told by the priest that we would both go to hell when we die ! How evil is that. Growing up and having many spiritual experience’s myself I am safe in the knowledge that when I meet my maker that will not be the case. Thank you Maryann for all your work. Much love ❤️
Dogma is what sent me RUNNING from Catholic Church when I turned 18 (now almost 77) Room for all just don’t ask me to follow yours.
Maryann, Thank You for not letting the judgments Stop you !
Cannot wait for your Book, It will be a Best Seller !❤
Your Gemini Friend
Marianne I loVe What you are saying here. I wanted more than church when I was young. Getting past religion opens us to the rest of the world, all of God’s creation, more love, more understanding and the courage to follow our heart and experience whatever interests us. Thabk you for opening so many hearts and eyes.
Many shall run to and fro & knowledge shall be increased. God's word heard in every nation. This is prophecy. Truth.
Wonderful Maryann✨💛💫…Thank you for all you bring forward…
Yes “Imagine” amazing song. Thank you, John Lennon 💛
Controversial or not, we love you. 1,000 times over.
