My mom is an atheist and she PRACTICES higher moral and loving standards than most Christians I have ever met. I even used to go to church but I just got tired of the judgment and hypocrisy and greed...

I am a former Catholic/Lutheran (raised in a divided house) and have been living a comfortably spiritual life without religion for at least 3 decades now. Once I realized that religion is man made, I freed myself to communicate directly with my Higher Power.❤️

Well said and well done. Religion is responsible for the majority of wars and terrorism in the world. Spirituality is about unity and inclusion, whereas religion is about division and separation. Religion is full of superstition and fear, whereas Spirituality is about Truth and Reality.
Thank you so much for using your gift to help keep us calm and informed. ❤️🙏😇

My Mother was an astrologer and believed in reincarnation long long before it was popular. She was also a devout Christian. She believed that these arts were given to us by God to help us sort out our lives. She did not see at all a divide between her spiritual beliefs and her psychic studies.

Thank you, for this podcast! I was raised in a parochial school, where religion was studied (crammed down my throat) five days a week. As a child, I was also forced to attend Sunday school on Sundays. I'm now 69 years old and call myself "spiritual" not religious. I also call myself a "recovering Christian." I understand the question this woman sent you. I understand the fear, concern, and intolerance these people have towards what the Bible calls "soothsayers" I had those fears and concerns for decades. I still hold some of these concerns. Your channel brings me tremendous hope and peace. I love the way you think, as it's exactly how I've come to believe. Please keep doing what you're doing! You bring a lot of love, light and hope to the world!💖

Marianne, wear whatever you want to wear. What I resent is when politicians tell us what we should believe. We don’t want to be told what to believe. Politicians shouldn’t be involved with what goes on in our bedrooms or what goes on in our houses of worship, if, in fact, we do have houses of worship. Thank you for reminding us of our freedoms.

I was raised Catholic, but my mother had an NDE when I was 6 or 7, and afterwards she was so much more open minded about spirituality. She started reading books on Buddhism and witchcraft.
It seems to me that when religious people demand others believe only what they believe, that’s purely ego. And ego is purely of man, not spirit or god. And when my mother had an experience of that pure light and love, she was able to put aside her ego, and more fully embrace spirituality.
When I was 17, my mother bought me a white gold cross with a tiny diamond, and even tho I don’t identify as Christian, I put it on my charm bracelet.

I go to church every Sunday & I enjoy my minister’s sermon where she gives me food for thought. I belong to a very kind, inclusive and non judgemental church community. I believe my spirituality and faith is not diminished by going to church. I also don’t believe in forcing others to believe what I do. I believe that whatever faith/spirituality that helps people can only make their lives richer regardless if they go to a place of worship or not. I don’t understand why different faiths have to set us apart & war would never be part of my spirituality. I also believe in your gift Maryann and it’s refreshing to see such a strong person not be discouraged by small minds. Judge not lest ye be judged. ❤🇨🇦

Dear Maryanne thank you for sharing. I too was raised and Baptized Roman Catholic. I too am very spiritual, I wear my cross necklace too. I am currently going to a very small church where I receive Holy Communion because I divorced an abuse husband.
I go to church to praise our Lord God, Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit.
I love Crystals and use their energy, I also talk and thank my spirit guides, Angel's, Ancestors, spirit animals. I am no evil witch. I am a loving Christian.
Maryanne you shouldn't have to explain yourself but I admire your courage to stand up for your beliefs.
Who cares how people practice their beliefs as long as it is for God Almighty., no evil but love and living by God's law.
Thank you and may God Bless and keep you safe. I pray for those who suffer, don't love humanity, those who don't belief.

❤ Maryann, you owe no one any explanation as to why you wear whatever symbols that you do, but since you did offer one, I just want to say that I love you no matter! My father brought a beautiful star of David back from Majorca to give me. When I do wear it, I think of him and my mother. Period. My spirit resonates with yours for very similar reasons. I do not claim to be religious. I am spiritual. And that works for me. Thank you for giving a voice to that which many of us feel. I look forward to each and every one of your broadcasts. Please keep doing what you do so well. Peace!

Do not judge lest ye be judged! I'm a Presbyterian, and the dogma of religion and judgment turned me off, too. I stopped going to church due to the exclusion of many, but the GOD I believe in includes all with love, kindness, and forgiveness with mercy. My Jewish in laws brought me back the most beautiful hand-made silver cross from Israel years ago. They didn't care that I was a Christian. They were the most loving in laws. I was truly blessed. I honor all and believe we all have GOD given talents as you have Maryann and many have. Love. Thats what we all need to practice daily. I loved your explanation, but you owe no one an explanation. You are a beautiful soul Maryann. You rock!

  • @LightsOn128
    @LightsOn128 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Maryann your explanation is EXACTLY how I feel and aligns with my path. I was brought up in a strict southern Baptist church and was taught hell and brimstone for all who were different. But I too learned to reject those notions and grow spiritually without the religious dogma. I don’t belong and will never belong to any organized religion. And I find NO contradiction in tarot or astrology with my spirituality. We are energy beings and spirit can be found in any energy work once you drop the religious man made dogma. I appreciate your work so very much and I feel your sincerity and kindness and love in your readings. And after all the dogma is wiped away, we can get to the true messages of Christ and other leaders like him who taught that “God is Love” and when we do what we do in spirit of love we will find him.💕

They can be and do what they believe as long as they don't hurt others because of their beliefs. That I'm waiting to experience. I am a two time breast cancer survivor I believe in a higher creator and see the world around me in clear glasses. I am grateful for what I can see in front of me. That’s when I stopped looking for God in church…because I talked to him every day and didn’t need a mediator. I didn’t ever believe the dogma that I thought was totally wrong, such as we are born into sin. My brand new babies didn’t have a bit of sin. How absurd! You’ve talked through this expertly, concisely, kindly, compassionately. You’re such a dear. Thank you.

Hi Maryann: I too was raised Catholic 12 years of Catholic school, all the time not realizing that those teachings didn't believe in reincarnation. That's when I really started to expand my knowledge getting into metaphysics, astrology, etc. Spiritual but not religious. Religions divide instead of bring us together. The planet is in a period of transition and eventually most religions will fall by the wayside as we all become more accepting of each other. According to Sterling Psychic Medium (his info really resonates with me). I totally believe that. Happy Thanksgiving! Thanks for your insights and healing messages.

I just read a comment on another Australian reader's site, from someone who saw a gentleman in his 80's, described as looking just like John Lennon might at this age...and he left behind in the restaurant a Japanese Origami Peace crane. It so touched the writer that he took the crane with him, to cherish. 🩷🪽🪽 Bless you and your expression of gifts of grace, Maryann 🕊🙏🌏 And indeed, Bless us All and our gracious gifts. Amen.

We are one human race sharing one planet created by God, or Divine Spirit. These labels dictated by various religions separate us, which is sad , divisive, and serves no good . “ Love one another.”. Includes everyone & surely was never meant to create division. Thanks for your inspiration.💙 May God bless you always.🙏

I appreciate your willingness to talk about this. I made a similar analysis many years ago. My conclusion is that we are all part of the same universal power / energy. Faith Is our personal recognition of this . Religion Is a man-made construct which seeks to provide an accessible understanding of this very fundamental truth. The many different religions are culturally based Interpretations. There can be many discussions of the ways that religions have been used, and misused, but that’s a different area of study .

Thank you for speaking out about faith and religion in such a practical way. We all have the right and choice to believe what feels right for us. Dogmas are powerful ways to control the masses - especially the weaker minded individuals - and teaches judgement as a way to confuse and separate us from our true loving selves. I just love your strength of convictions as you explain what is so true.

Perhaps your team had you place that cross on for just this message. A message to reach someone who may have confusion over what you see and say and their daily reality of lies. Perhaps a person who is following the ORANGE Piper who is coming to the light. Hugs from TN. D❤

Hi Mary Ann , i can relate my sister lives in texas and she became a born again Christian 40 year's ago. She accused me of using witchcraft. When i cleansed my apartment after my neighbor committed suicide. I told her if it makes me feel better what harm is it. I used the prayers of protection from the Bible in Jesus christ our savors name . And your prayers of the light to shine through me and in me. I also demanded any spirits not of God to leave our premises. Yes we all have our own spiritual beliefs and they should not be shoved down someone's else's beliefs. As long as it isn't hurting someone. For instance a dark cult that uses human or animal sacrifice. Ofcourse i don't agree with evil or harm

I too am a spiritual human. I pray to mother/father God , Great Spirit, Brother Jesus and Buddha. Believing Jesus was not white, his brother a Jew and Jesus spent years in the east learning from other spiritual guides. So much wisdom coming from those teaching love and compassion. I will not follow anyone preaching judgement and hate. May the world see through the eyes of love and compassion🙏❤️

Maryann, I love your work. I wish organized religion was not as popular in the U.S. as it is - but to each his own as long as these people don’t try to infringe on my rights or criticize my spiritual beliefs. Yes, I’ve been critical of Christians but not for their personal beliefs but for their intolerance.

Getting past religion opens us to the rest of the world, all of God’s creation, more love, more understanding and the courage to follow our heart and experience whatever interests us. Thabk you for opening so many hearts and eyes.

When I left Christianity was when I was told to be a serious Christian I had to proselytize to others - in other words judge them and tell them they are living wrong and will go to hell unless they agree with me. This never made sense.
I studied Buddhism and now understand the Bible much better than before.

Marianne, I adore you and highly respect you and your work. I'm so glad you're addressing the so-called Christians who are so busy being judgemental that they don't see the "mote" in their own eyes. You've reflected the position of many of us in today's world. Being a spiritual person is far preferable to being a rigid, blind believer of every word written in the Bible. I fail to see how wearing a cross precludes what you do. The Bible is full of prophets and you are simply a modern day prophet. Please continue to wear your cross and your memento of your love for your mother. And please continue your work. It's very important to a lot of us out here in the nebulous cyberspace.

One of the best parts of Judaism in its pure form is that we do not judge human beings for their religious, cultural beliefs that bring no harm to others. I have never judged anyone by their religious or cultural beliefs. In any case, tarot, astrology, astronomy, mathematics, science comes from the ancestral home of the Jews in modern day Iraq and Iran. I see no issues with these interesting exercises in learning.
I grew up with many indigenous families that had been severely damaged as children by the residential schools. I invited my best friends family to my wedding because I would’ve honoured to be there. Their eldest son was my best friend. The father of the family took me aside and explained he could not attend our wedding in any religious ground because of the trauma, the things he and his wife encountered in residential schools. It was my second time of awareness in regards to this horrible issue. I understood. He took me by the shoulders and blessed me in lieu of attendance. It meant a lot to me.
As for Christian texts, the English never matches the Greek or Aramaic. I have read both. Prophecy in Jewish, Christian and Muslim sacred texts exists in all three. Btw, not all of Corinthians, and especially Timothy, Peter were written by either man or Paul. They are later editions to their encounters . That’s why it’s contradictory. Likewise what is know as the Christian Old Testament. The list of gifts is definitely Pauline, as in Paul’s writings. These are the earliest collections of his writings.

My sister and I attended a Church of England primary school. We had never been Christened, and were told by the priest that we would both go to hell when we die ! How evil is that. Growing up and having many spiritual experience’s myself I am safe in the knowledge that when I meet my maker that will not be the case. Thank you Maryann for all your work. Much love ❤️

Just my thought- anyone who is critiquing your wearing anything at all is not worth a second glance. What you choose to wear or not wear is your right.
You remind me, thank you, to find something that represents my mother who died young, cancer, 2008. I feel her a lot but I should find something, I need reminders. Once, she came to me in a dream, I was upset that she was gone and that my sister had locked away all of her things and out of spite never let me have anything of hers. My mother said, “Look at your hand.” And I was confused, she said it again and still I didn’t understand. She didn’t say it in words but when I woke up I understood, she was saying I didn’t need any thing to remind me, just be aware that my physical form IS a keepsake, my own hand. ❤

My take on it is that the purpose of a religion is to prepare a person to live a spiritual life that will be less dependent upon a religion than on acquired inner strength to make good decisions and act with compassion.

Thank you for the mature grounded information. I have tried going to a number of different churches and was never successful in any of them. But when I'm alone in my library meditating I feel very close to the creator. Churches are all about judging people and one upmanship. And gossip. I can do without, thank you.

I was born into a Catholic family but we stopped going to church when I was five. I had the freedom to explore many religions and ended up on a more spiritual path.
I worked for a man who had a mission from source, he would say God, to construct a gold cross specifically for the purpose of communicating with God. He gave me the prototype, gold plated. Very special to me. Recently, a Psychic told me there was negative energy attached to it. Now I'm confused what to do. I thought it was made with a pure purpose.
Sorry you received a negative comment.
