  • Hello everyone and welcome back to The Beatles Forever. Today we will join Peter Brown as we are nearing the end of his book and the Beatles. This episode finds John and Yoko having a series of troubles, Apple not doing very well, and trying to find a person to run Apple before it's too late.

In the short time that they were together they sure provided the world enough music that will last forever.

They sure did and the music is what matters, not the nonsense.

When they stopped playig live gigs it was the beginning of the end. Live performing was the glue that kept them an actual band.

Yes the breakup was just the beginning. We have their solo careers which just sound like the Beatles anyway. They did so much music that it would take 20 or 30 years to create what they did in 7 years. And now we have the Beatles in so many forms its crazy. I could listen too all their music videos for days and days. And complaints Yoko bothered Paul in the studio is nuts. All the last albums are magical paul is extraordinary as John said once.i feel when Brian died they lost direction, felt lost and never really recovered. Sorry talking long but The Beatles are even more popular now than in 1970. Paul never wanted the group to end and he has worked everyday to make sure they stay here. He and Ringo still love to play music so we must treasure them. I was there during their journey in the 60s and they were so loved.

That is definitely something John Lennon would say I do believe John would somehow try to make a joke of it all even though he probably was angry about the situation

John and Yoko was such a sad, toxic love story. I think if they hadn't met, John would still be alive.

"And in The End"... "All You Need Is Cash"! Sad, the way it all had to come crashing down in the end. They had such high ideals with Apple and all, it's just a good thing that the legacy of the MUSIC and the legend of the BAND have remained so strong through the years; and with efforts like those of Peter Jackson and Giles Martin, will likely continue through at least another generation.
That the source book used here is likely full of half-truths and perhaps outright lies, it still helps to paint a picture of the 'sad mythology' that was beginning to bloom regarding all these episodes and escapades concerning the dissolution of The Beatles, Apple, Lennon & McCartney, and all the other personal relationships upon which it was built. Will we ever know the full, unadulterated truth of this (or really any) saga? It's doubtful, but still much can be construed, interpreted and even illuminated by keeping in mind even the falsehoods that were being given birth at this time.
Ultimately, we are all the fortunate beneficiaries of the incredible output of talent through the short, incredibly busy years that The Beatles were together!

Funny, Paul and Linda, George Martin, Geoff Emerick, Ringo Starr, George Harrison and Yoko Ono all came saying Peter Brown's book was full of lies and inaccuracies. Kind of puts a dim light on your little channel here. Maybe use another source if you want to be taken seriously. Paul and Linda actually had a book burning.

I thought I would go through all books on the Beatles and see what they have to say. We the fans can determine the truth and the lies. I am glad everyone can comment and tell what they know and it will set the record straight on things.
