i came to this video after beating a 550 horse power boss 302 mustang by 3 quarters of a car length from a dead stop to 190 KMH when i hit 185-190 is when i beat him with the 3 quarter car length we were side by side the entire race. The fact that turbo beetle beat 550 is fukn insane, i nailed every shift perfect with the paddle shifting. When we got to the red light he was so full of words they wouldnt come out of his mouth the first thing he told me is that he never knew the car could run nearly that fast and that his car had 550 horses! i was also mind blown haha.

Can someone explain to me why the speedometer markings are not linear? That makes no sense to me.
Because we Germans can.
that seems like nonsense doesnt it :P but it is because in standard use you mostly use the speedometer just to look at legal values like in most cases between 0 and 120 they are making this to improve daily usabilty and also by making this non linear design they make you feel like the car is accelerating faster than it is by the time it is spend the needle is going through 0 - 100 faster than all other values hope it helps :)
