At 13:24 when they tell you the enemy towns have been informed of your presence you can see all of their scores skyrocketing. I guess they instantly recieve tons of resources and start spamming units.
To clarify, the rocks containing stone/gold do not disappear when they are out of resources. This sometimes causes villagers to glitch (standing in place, trying to mine from the rock while it has 0 resources).
They disappear if you task the villagers manually to mine from them. They will lose HP, then they disappear, and then you can take the gold or stone underneath (which appears). However, if your villagers switch automatically from a depleted mine to a new one hidden under such rock, they will collect all of the resource FROM UNDERNEATH the rock. The rock then still stands there, covering nothing - you can still task villagers to mine but they have nothing to mine as there is 0 resource, so they go idle. It's clearly a bug but that's the way it works. Another thing that acts weird are the dolphins. If your fishing ships take all the food from a dolphin, the dolphin remains there with 0 food and your ships don't automatically switch to other fish. I guess it's obvious how frustrating this is. I doubt these bugs will ever be removed.
toledo having oriental architecture is #clearly a mistake in this scenario. toledo was a westgothic town with a mixture of late roman and germanic culture and architecture. (toletum was the latin name of the town). of course moorish culture became important in present day spain afterwards, but it always stayed a mix like it is also shown in the el cid campaign in toledo.
Toledo is byzantine in the scenario (I don't know why that civ was chosen...), so is basically the same as the byzantines having msques in other campaigns :/
Dear biper... When you play with Berbers and getting camel archers, you can delay Thumb Ring. Camel archers have stupidly good accuracy. Not exactly %100 but almost %100 (%95-%96 Something like that). I know.. You will say "Attack speed maaan" Thumb ring increases camel archers attack speed by... %1. Literally %1... Yeah. Don't ask why. Ask Cysion :D

If you want them to dissapear, just do as I said and "attack it" with a villager before they automatically mine them.

Maybe there's been some new evidence (that Arriaca isn't Guadalajara) or it's just Wikipedia being "you can't be sure [citation needed!!!]", but I'd say it's reasonable to use Guadalajara as an enemy city in this scenario. They could have given it its Roman or Gothic name, but they decided to use modern names for all cities, so Guadalajara it was.
