Joey has my heart. The weight of responsibility, stress, and pressure he lived in every day from the age of 12 on is just crushing. I completely understand his need to self medicate in any way he could. His HEA was so satisfying because of all he had been through. He was so deserving of it. I know of multiple people who have struggled with addiction and have a cousin who died from an overdose and while their life experiences outside of addiction were very different than Joey's it still gave me some perspective on what its like inside an addicts mind and thought process. I found it interesting after the fire, Joey hears the fireman or police officer say it looked like the dad was trying to get out a window but didnt make it and died. So in Keeping 13 I thought he planned on killing them all including himself but in Redeeming 6, with that bit of information, we see he only planned on killing his wife and children. To think of all he put that family through and he was going to murder them all then go on with his life made me so angry. He was such a sorry excuse for a human and how anyone who knew Joey could say he was just like his dad (other than looking like him) just means they didnt know him at all. I have been impatiently waiting for Gibsie's story but i didnt know he only gets one book. That kind of disappoints me. Im afraid 1 book wont be enough to satisfy me lol but all the little tidbits we got of Lizzie and Hughie have made me really excited for their book!
I just finished Redeeming 6 😭😭😭😭 I loved it so much. I agree about Shannon, I felt terrible for her but it got kind of annoying when she was constantly needing reassurance. I understand why but it was hard to get through her POV a lot of the time.
Just finished reading saving 6 it took me awhile to connect with the book it's a slow burn to me i really feel bad for joey because i know what its like to live in a home filled with destruction my father struggled with addiction this story totally reminds me of how i grew up i really didn't like Joey mother i didn't like how she basically left Joey to take care of the household and still be loyal to her husband after everything he has put them through
@@angelaholmes8888 aww you should’ve read the binding 13 and keeping 13 books first to get the impact/importance of Joey but regardless I hope you like them!
Thank your your recommendations for keeping and binding 13.. i was dreading the volume of those books..but finally I gave in.. and o God that was totally worth it... But now I want to live in this world to know more about tha characters but joey' books sounds like full of mental agony
Excited for Hughie and Lizzie's book I'm not into Hughie and Katie ever since they showed up in blinding 13, Hughie and Lizzie seems refreshing for me it's not weak innocent girl pairing with boy who could protect her it's more realistic and exciting if they end up together because in reality there's only a few people who actually ends up with together with their first relationship or the first one they had intercourse with. Some people saying it looks like a cheating gone wrong which is not or if it is makes it more thrilling to read I mean their teenagers and realistically speaking their on the age of discovery and a lot of cheating from different people actually happens during their age.
