I don't get a few things: 1: what's the difference between this song & the new 1 besides it being shorter & 2: what's so different about the original ride? I know that Billy Bob was represented as a black monster (which I didn't know the first time I watched on TH-cam. I'm just assuming) & Missy Scarlett had a higher voice
Between the theme songs? The original song was recorded in 1981 for Monster Plantation. It was then re-recorded, (oddly enough by the same girls who sang the original song) for the 2009 'Monster Mansion' refurbishment. Both Billy Bob and Mizzy Scarlett's voices were also re-recorded for Monster Mansion.
@@reed14567 ah I see. Only differences were the voices of Mizzy Scaelett. & Billy Bob were lighter & Billy Bob & that chicken looking mom had an appearance change?
None of them were meant to be black or white. Nowadays everybody thinks a southern accent is making fun of black folks... But anyone from the south who's old enough to remember will tell you EVERYBODY talked like that at one time. As for the ride refurb, they didn't really change anything major... Just the name, and added some effects like the water shooting across the boat, and gave the animatronics a refresh, but it's all still pretty much just like it always was. The voices all sound the same to me. Doesn't seem like they changed them at all. It may be different voice actors, but they sound like they always did, in my opinion. There is one change that puzzles me... The last "happy" monster you see before heading into the marsh... He used to have a tennis racquet, and he would say "tennis anybody?" And then he would laugh hysterically. Now in the new version, he just goes "doo tee doo tee dooo" or something lol...
Hi! I wanted to try and contact you elsewhere, but didn't see one. I know you didn't make this song- but you went through the effort of sharing such nice versions that you had- would you be alright at all if you used your track to make a karaoke track using this?
I believe you are mistaken, the guy singing in the footage you are referring to is more than likely from a demo. I believe the man singing is Dick Hamilton, who wrote the song. This track is the original theme song for the ride.
Really appreciate these high-quality Monster uploads. I've never heard a good rip of the 1981 theme song before.
Thanks bud! They released a CD the year that Monster Mansion opened, but I don't think they sold them for very long so I figured I'd upload it here!
Okee68 Didn’t know your here?
@@reed14567can you share a pic of the cd? I can’t find any online!
I appreciate this! I love the Monster Mansion ride. It is one of my favorites. It’s such a classic ride
The green monster in the 1981 logo * forgot his name * Looks like he was drawn by Dav Pilkey lol
His name is Buzby
I'd love a copy of this song so that I can make it my ringtone!!

Billy bob fritter isn’t black it was just a change from a country accent to a southern colonial type accent.
why does the 80s version still say mansion instead of plantation
How do I get a copy of this music. Thanks for sharing.

Actually this is not the original lol. The original is a guy singing it instead of kids.

@@reed14567 Oh for the ride, yea my mistakes lol. Yea for the ride it's the original theme. Also thanks for the name.
@@reed14567 Does audio exist of Dick singing it?
@@jcoolraichu Not that I am aware of, at least not publicly.
@@reed14567 actually, Okee68 did have a behind-the-scenes of the ride & a few seconds worth of that guy singing it
