One of the characters did say they'll know he's there when he starts the download and they do start looking for him. But maybe he could've hidden instead of hitting the guy with his billiard ball. So the choice on how you want to play is still up to you :D
Well it looks like they actually took people's complaints about the last game into account. We now get to play as a character with a personality, plus you have more combat options and abilities, in an environment that doesn't look boring. This might be cool.
This game is actually a masterpiece! Everything seems to work as intended, it wasn’t rushed, the stealth is out of this world good, the city feels alive, the mood is right, the ambiance .... ah God, finally a game like no other! The Division and Rainbow Six Siege were shown off early as well. Pretty much every single Ubisoft game that gets downgraded was shown off early like what the OP said.

Shuck Yeah, I suppose. But they always do this with black characters though. I might be in the minority here, but I cringed at the dialogue between Franklin and his buddies in GTA5 as well. I would cringe if a white character talked the same way. It's just that I feel they emphasize this in black characters all the time. It's always an extra "shiiiiiet" or "damn son!" in there. Makes even less sense to me if the guy is a hardcore hacker. Shouldn't he be...more nerdy? Less street savvy? I guess he gets it all: Strenght, quick mouth, parkour, hacking skills, Cee Lo Greens' wardrobe etc.
I really like this enthusiastic main character, with such cheerful and rebellion personality, it will be fun to play as a character like this. Also, that mask, is so damn cool.
It just requires too many NPCs onscreen at once to portray traffic realistically. Even GTA V PC on max traffic settings doesn't quite compared to real life LA, although it is certainly impressive in its own right. All in all, it's a hardware limitation. Though there is a gameplay element to it as well. I suppose if you have total traffic congestion at all times of the day, it'd be less fun to speed around in a vehicle.

What video did you watch? This game will not at all be exactly the same. It's not completely brand new, but it looks far superior to the first Watch Dogs. I loved the idea of the first game, however, to me and many other people, the game play didn't live up to the hype the game had at all. In this game however, it looks much better handled and improved. Just to name a few features I was able to gather from the past few Watch Dogs 2 trailers: - Better graphics, *obviously* - More colorful / better visuals. Definitely not as grey and depressing as the first game. - New, fascinating Main Character. I think we can all agree Marcus looks much more interesting than the 30 year old white guy with a generic revenge story that we got in the original - Better / New hacking abilities. See, the hacking wasn't the problem in Watch Dogs. It was actually quite fun. It was pretty much everything else, tho. And from this trailer, It looks like they were able to fix everything else while still keeping that fun, immersive hacking ability and improving it from there. - Improved driving - Bigger map - More immersive world overall - Gives the player more freedom and choice game play wise - More challenging problem solving scenarios that actually uses the players brain to solve the various puzzles - Much more that I haven't mentioned. Note, that this information was gathered simply from this and other game play trailers, so the fact that there will be much more enhancements beyond the ones listed above, is a given. The Idea wasn't the problem with Watch Dogs. For me, it was the awful story mode, terrible controls ( like driving ), and just the overall depressing feel that Watch Dogs had. So, *if you didn't like the first one you wont like this one* Isn't true at all. This game keeps the main idea and improves all that was wrong with the first one. So in reality, just because you didn't like the first one due to it's awful game play, does not mean you can't appreciate this game for the improvements and ideas it brings to the table. :)
I completely agree with you timetravel. The story in the first game was too generic, just another revenge story. You can already tell here that the story is much more in depth and even talks about politics. Ubisoft will probably make some references to the first game.

I would cringe if a white character talked the same way. It's just that I feel they emphasize this in black characters all the time. It's always an extra "shiiiiiet" or "damn son!" in there. Makes even less sense to me if the guy is a hardcore hacker. Shouldn't he be...more nerdy? Less street savvy? It just requires too many NPCs onscreen at once to portray traffic realistically. Even GTA V PC on max traffic settings doesn't quite compared to real life LA, although it is certainly impressive in its own right. All in all, it's a hardware limitation.
Though there is a gameplay element to it as well. I suppose if you have total traffic congestion at all times of the day, it'd be less fun to speed around in a vehicle.

First off, I completely understand why people think it'll be downgraded, I'm not going to lie the original Watch_Dogs was downgraded, even UbiSoft admitted it was downgraded. This resulted in a policy change in 2015.Since the policy was released I don't think a single game has been downgraded.I'm sure you've seen the video named "Ubisoft Downgrades" But did you notice how not a single clip was shown from E3 2015? For example, Assassin's Creed Syndicate looked exactly the same as the demo at E3 and so did Far Cry Primal.The original Watch_Dogs did not have a playable E3 demo. first thing is the all the dialogue and characters are suitable for younger audiences but if you want a more mature dialogue games like GTA V is your choice.

I would love a game like this with a Mr. Robot fsociety feel. This looks like it might be something close to that, and Ubisoft usually gets it right the second time. So I'm pumped.
This game looks amazing, and should not be associated with that trash Watch Dogs 1. Everybody fell in love with the idea of hacking things around you and being able to manipulate technology in an open world city. It's a great idea, that the first game failed. This game however, looks like, in my opinion, it will do that idea justice. What video did you watch? This game will not at all be exactly the same. It's not completely brand new, but it looks far superior to the first Watch Dogs. I loved the idea of the first game, however, to me and many other people, the game play didn't live up to the hype the game had at all. In this game however, it looks much better handled and improved. Just to name a few features I was able to gather from the past few Watch Dogs 2 trailers:
- Better graphics, *obviously*
- More colorful / better visuals. Definitely not as grey and depressing as the first game.
- New, fascinating Main Character. I think we can all agree Marcus looks much more interesting than the 30 year old white guy with a generic revenge story that we got in the original
- Better / New hacking abilities. See, the hacking wasn't the problem in Watch Dogs. It was actually quite fun. It was pretty much everything else, tho. And from this trailer, It looks like they were able to fix everything else while still keeping that fun, immersive hacking ability and improving it from there.
- Improved driving
- Bigger map
- More immersive world overall
- Gives the player more freedom and choice game play wise
- More challenging problem solving scenarios that actually uses the players brain to solve the various puzzles
- Much more that I haven't mentioned. Note, that this information was gathered simply from this and other game play trailers, so the fact that there will be much more enhancements beyond the ones listed above, is a given.
The Idea wasn't the problem with Watch Dogs. For me, it was the awful story mode, terrible controls ( like driving ), and just the overall depressing feel that Watch Dogs had. So, *if you didn't like the first one you wont like this one* Isn't true at all. This game keeps the main idea and improves all that was wrong with the first one. So in reality, just because you didn't like the first one due to it's awful game play, does not mean you can't appreciate this game for the improvements and ideas it brings to the table. :)

have you ever played far cry 3 or r6? nothing wrong with these games. watchdogs 1 wasn't that bad either (except for the "plot" and especially the main character), unless you play for the graphics, which is a stupid thing to do

It was like a 40 year old white guy trying to dance to the "rap music". This game looks like it was written around a table based on what the kids are fans of these days. Looks like they did a good job.

It's definitely possible but this looks a lot more promising than the first one. Glad to see them using some unscripted gameplay this time.
