Once I was sitting peacefully eating my lunch when I heard a kid say they go to tournaments and are the best, so the next day I brought my switch, (I had my parents permission btw) and asked him for a 1v1. He told his friends “Aye, imma bout to clap this kid wanna watch?” And we started the match, and I absolutely clapped him, to the point where I once played Kirby and threw 2 of my 3 stocks away, and still beat him with only 50%. It got so bad that his friends were roasting him so hard that he had to wait in the bathroom to ward if everybody roasting him. From now on, every time somebody is talking about smash and sees me, they make sure not to say and thing about how good they are. Also that kid I clapped now is incredibly scared of me. And that is how to become the most feared smash player in class.
When I was in high school I signed up to bring the video game for the first meeting of video game club, brought Melee, four stocked five people in a row who all played Kirby/Link etc. with Fox, then never came back to the club after that. I basically only went for my ego.
