Be as patient as possible. Don’t call too often 10-20 minutes apart is ok. And if he’s coming, stop calling he knows where you are. And know your shot patterns at different yards.
This guy was impatient and could’ve waited for him to come in closer or at least out in the open. His sight might have failed but still a longer shot with the turkey behind cover and w a 410 is probably more reason why he missed that first one. Very impatient. This video had several bad examples that go against Jason Cruise’s advice and tips. Lack of patience and calling before being in position to kill are two that I spotted. Happens to all of us at some point. Just slow down. He also takes a bad shot in the next video and wounds a bird luckily finding it later and dispatched it then. 🤦♂️
Nice turkeys. What load/ choke combo are you shooting? I have the mossberg 500 410 and SA 410ga tss turkey guns. I am using the Indian Creek. 385 chokes. Apex Ninja 9.5 shot. Reflex red dots on both. I would like to try the Indian Creek. 390 choke.
I have found that Maines turkey season is late in the action. By the time the season starts the birds have been going hard for a month. Birds here used to be dumb years ago but they have gotten smarter. Every Maine turkey season I’ve ever hunted was downhill after the first week. They get very spooky.
When are you going to fix the issues with the SA-410 not feeding Cheddite hulls? Do you not function test these guns before leaving whatever dirt floor factory they're made in?

You should have let that first bird come. You didn't give him a chance.
