Thank you Sofi, for a delightful way to spend ten minutes of my day learning about one of my favorite generals of all time. This gentleman got it right, down to the last detail. I felt for a moment like I stepped back in time. I could actually imagine General Patton standing there giving orders to his commanders in the field. As a musician, I loved the music in the background, which enhanced the whole vibe. You did a beautiful job as always.🙂

When I was in track and field in middle and high school, I would always do practice runs on a steep road hill named Patton Way. I realized soon after that it was a road hill leading up to the house of General Patton's family in the small town of San Marino, CA. That hill kicked my butt every time I ran it as I'm sure Patton would have done to me!

What a great episode! It was cool to see the truck plus all the stuff that went with it!
I saw something along these lines about Rommel’s command vehicle. It was a British AEC “Dorchester” of all things!

I think the real reason Patton didn't like the scramble phone would be that he'd have to explain what he was about to do rather than excuse himself after he did it. :D

HOLY SH*T! I am kitbashing a "Tom Daniel inspired" model of his mobile command post that I call "Patton's Powerwagon" to go with my "Rommel's Rod". It is totally made up and I had never seen Patton's command post but it seems that I was closer that I thought.

I've always been a Military History guy, one of my first books was "The Great War" about WWI and intended for youngsters followed by "The Red Badge of Courage" by Crane. I could read and write a bit BEFORE ever going to school. That being said, when I see you genuinely get happy and flash that smile, it actually makes me a little happier too. Hope to SEE you in one of these vids soon.

Hey Sofi , very cool to see . I saw the original Command Truck at Ft.Knox when going through there . He does have it down to exact specifications of Gen. Patton's. If anyone is every at Ft.Knox, goe to the Patton Museum and visit . It is well worth the time to see . Alot of the Tanks that were at Ft.Knox are now down there with you Sofi . If General George S. Patton was here today ,he give that man a medal 🏅,maybe a couple of medals .....smile .

    Thanks Sof,
I think this was an imaginative and entertaining presentation. I must say, I have always been a little ambivalent about Patton, (more about his personality than his military prowess), though this piece humanized him well.
German signals intelligence was extremely good however and frequently was acted upon with greater fruitfulness than Ultra delivered for allies, especially at a tactical level.
Nice to see you back from a break,
    thanks again.

Thanks, Sofi. Great video...again! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE...I'd love to see a video about the American T92 Light Tank. I know it was beat out by the lack luster M551 Sheridan, but I am fascinated on what could have been an interesting and beautiful addition to the US Armor Corp and Airborne Units. The only surviving example of the 2 prototypes built is on display at Ft. Lee, Virginia. Very, Very few people have seen the inside of it...Please try!

I don't think Patton was overrated. He didn't always "win" because, unlike Monty, Patton wasn't afraid to take chances and didn't choose battles he knew was a sure-fire victory.
Patton also had a great dislike for politics and politicians, and it cost him. Patton was a soldier.
