Eugene & Springfield Fire & EMS, OR - Cost and Service Effectiveness Through Partnership

The Eugene & Springfield Fire Departments in northwestern Oregon began merging in July of 2007. The 3-Battalion Fire & EMS system is achieving tremendous efficiencies and will save taxpayers an estimated $2.7 million dollars over the next 3 years. The two departments are working effectively together to serve the community and save lives.
