Because it’s an typical US scripted show for amusement use. Not saying this guy is bad in his training methods but without the script it would be a boring watch.
Jim and Sam made great progress with Mathilda. Sam in particular did really well at becoming the pack leader. Jim’s setback at the beach indicates he still needed to get his mind into the calm assertive state. Arturo is such a good guy. Given that this was filmed years ago, I hope Mathilda and Coco lived a long, happy, well adjusted life. Dogs are a gift from God.

I love Cesar and at the same time I'm annoyed by his TV show. He obviously knows what he's doing, but his show is HIGHLY edited and produced which sucks the educational value out of what he actually does. BTW... I'm a dog trainer, so I can observe these things. The owners of the aggressive dog were walking the dog on a harness, which CAUSES pulling. Immediately afterward, when Cesar is walking the dog, he has changed to slip lead, yet the SHOW doesn't even mention this IMPORTANT fact. The show emphasizes "emotion" and attitude, when in reality, it's more about leash handling skills, for example, quick snaps instead of playing tug of war with the dog. ANY competent BALANCED dog trainer, not just the magical TV star Cesar, can solve this problem, VERY quickly, and without any multiple acre "dog psychology center". Again, BTW... most competent and VERY successful balanced dog trainers will tell you to NEVER, EVER, take your dog to a dog park,, and there are VERY good reasons why it's a bad idea. As in many of Cesar's videos, ,I feel like he has taught the owners some effective techniques and has given them hope, but has not truly educated them on what it means to be a leader of the pack, and how to satisfy the dog's primal needs. Toward the end of the video, the owner says "I think we're on the right track." .... ummm no you aren't. You still don't understand your dog's instinctive needs and you are just following technical advice, but trying to relate to your dog like it's a HUMAN, and it is NOT. Your dog needs shelter, food, security, and needs to be part of a pack. That is IT!!! It doesn't need your affection, approval, cuddling, etc. It needs structure, It needs discipline. MORE THAN ANYTHING IN THE WORLD.... it needs to feel secure because its leader is the world's biggest bad ass. You give THAT to a dog and your dog will be the happiest dog in the world.... coming from the mind of a dog.... and not from a human... considering that domestic dogs share 99.9% DNA with wild wolves.
@@samwdavisalmost every other episode shows Cesar switching to a slip leash and explaining about the harness. I think this one there was just some chaos and they didn’t have time to film it.
@@Pjj3125exactly. These people act like we watch this shit like it's a university. We get that it's a show. The point isn't always a holistic textbook understanding of everything, but to understand what is being felt and thought in that moment. To bring us into Cesars world. Also, imagine complaining about bringing the dog to the sanctuary when those dogs were terrors to the community. Those people probably wish they could put it down themselves. Be grateful he's giving them a second chance at life is how I feel
“Lol. Gay men are not alpha”. Wow. Super original. I like how you are homophobic enough to say that but so much of a beta yourself you had to rap it up in a none too subtle overtones. Them being gay is not the problem. Them not doing the work with the dog is. You know nothing about dogs if you think small dogs can’t also be a problem.
I think we have learned all the little tricks Cesar had taught us. I just don't know how to train all 4 dogs at once. We walk together on leashes. It's the reintroduction to reach other that we struggle with.
I love how Cesar picks out the instigator. Have you tried in pairs first and see the dynamics. He usually focusses his correction on the instigator and the others don't get riled up or calm down immediiately. Training is ongoing and regular refreshers are needed, singly and building up to all 4.
@Yearofthetiger24026 Thank you for your input. We do do training in pairs along with the pack walk. We do have one dog, that I've recently learned, has anxiety from being bullied in a litter of 11, but didn't exhibit serious signs of that until after his partner, Mark, was taken by a mountain lion. He needs deep training at the same time as continuing training with the other three.
@@creatingahomesteadincolora2919 It sounds like you have found your answer 😊 Do you think any of you humans treat him any differently because of his history? Maybe rewatch lots of Cesar's anxious dog videos. He has so much in each video, it is hard to remember the nuancess of his approach. I love that you are searching for solutions and being reflective in what is happening.. That's what makes a good fur parent! I hope you find more things to halp with your pack of 4.
I am also laughing because I noticed a pinch collar being worn like a necklace around the dog's neck when that is probably the proper collar, or a slip lead like Cesar uses to control the dog. People think that pinch collars hurt, but they do not if you buy the correct type and you put it in the correct place which is right behind the ears. Just like the slip lead, it has the same function except that it does give a pinch if the dog pulls, so it's more for stronger willed or stubborn dogs that don't respond to the slip.
Honestly, Jim and Sam had no business getting a bulldog/boxer mix. They have the wrong kind of energy for that kind of dog. They were better off getting a Golden Retriever.
So nice to see how well it can turn out. Our dog is a Dogo Argentino and was attacked a total of eight times, 6 of them in the dog run area. Since then it has been quite difficult
Let's see.. You know a dog will attack and injure your dog and you purposely take your dog close enough to be attacked again? WTH????? AND the owner of the other dog lets his dog get close to others knowing it attacks? 2 Idiots with dogs.

Why tf did they let their dogs meet at that park? It was so obvious those dogs were gonna fight. The whole thing could’ve completely been avoided if there was a responsible owner at the end of the leash. The previous incident could have been avoided in the same way if the neighbor didn’t let his dog meet strange dogs through a fence. There’s no good reason to do that.
