    The "folded integral" has been around a long time. The Mercator K55K "Black Cat" knife, among many others, uses a folded piece of sheet metal for the knife handle. That knife goes back to world war 1

    The science behind corrosion resistance on a steel is basically the lesser polished equals lower corrosion resistance, to the highest polish, the most corrosion resistance. Example, a bead blast which puts micro pits in steel would cause rust quickest; then next would be a stonewash (which puts micro scratches instead of pits). Then you have your belt satins/hands satins next that do an excellent job of deterring corrosion, and lastly would be mirror polish which has the best properties to keep rust from occurring (it removes all pitting/small abrasions that would other wise trap moisture).

    Seeing it for about $100. Lots of options from $60-$100, so it has it's competition. Ordered the new Kizer / Damned Designs button lock (blacked out) yesterday. Can't wait!

      @HeWhoIsWhoHeIs Those must be pretty prone to breaking, so I've heard.

    At least the shop where I hang out in decided to bring back Real Steel. I saw this model. The action reminds me very much of my Benchmade Mini Grip. It's a good looking knife with great action and a great size for everyday carry. I just wish they would bring back the Thor Special Edition and the Sea Eagle.

    How does it compare to the budget button locks coming out recently? I'm looking for an easy one hand use knife, but one more durable than a button lock for harder use. But still under $100

      I generally don’t see button lock knives as hard use knives. This wouldn’t be a bad choice but maybe other slide lock type knives could be a good choice as well like the Bestechman Ronan.

    i know they use d2 a lot but i wish they would switch to 14c28n just because i’m finding a lot of budget knives in 14c28n right now and this would be a very convincing option for me because it would match my civivi my cmb my bestechman my qsp budget knives that i just bought all in 14c28n not to mention i own a few kershaw OD-1 1775 knives all in 14c28n which was a budget knife i’ve held onto for a long time. D2 is a good steel but 14c28n is a lot more fun to sharpen or machine and it’s pretty trendy right now so i wish more companies would switch.

    Guys I can’t say this enough, DON’T BUY CHINESE KNIVES. This day and age it’s really hard to completely eliminate Chinese made stuff, but at least for us in the knife/gun community should stop buying anything to do with China made products no matter how the price and quality seem tempting

      Please also contact Chaves,Peña,Ferrum Forge,Sharp by Design,Microtech,Spyderco,CRKT,Kershaw,Boker,Hoback,Buck,Damned Designs,Arcane Designs and about 100 others to see if they’ll comply. And ,of course, nobody in the USA is doing OEM knives so there’s no alternative. Then we can also contact the current USA government as well as all the professional sports teams and all of the multinational corporations that all have huge interests in China. That horse left the barn in the 1990’s. We all hate the CCP but the marketplace has left us very few choices. Hard to point fingers at China when our entire population is being pushed to the hard left by the entire mainstream media,social media directed by our own government etc. BTW only 6% of the Chinese people are members of the CCP. Sometimes you just gotta make a living and support your family even if you’re living under an oppressive government. Am I still talking about China ? Lol 😂

      @@LuvThemKnives yep I agree. But even so we should altogether stop buying Chinese as much as possible. Period. We’re looking at war with China and we don’t want to help their war effort would u? Again they are considered an unfriendly nation toward us, why should we buy their products. I guess what I’m saying is that we in the gun/knife community should be more mindful of these issues at hand. That’s all.

      I don't like the democrap administration, so I'm going to stop buying American products - see how senseless your statement is?

    • @Mischa-qj9ue
      @Mischa-qj9ue ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheScotchaholic well let’s say your wife asks you to pick up some apple pie for dessert. And you’re driving by and see two pie shops. One of them is known for good pie but little pricy. The other ones good and cheaper but as you drive closer the expensive shop has a good old American flag flying and the cheaper shop has a pride flag and a banner that says “Trump is not my president and trans rights are human rights” and you can see the patrons matches their flags. Which store would u go to? I’m going to the good ol American store, or we’re not having pie for dessert.
      Also, democrat or not they’re still American. At the end of the day, that money stays inside. The point is we as a nation need to boycott our enemies. When we’re at war we need to consider not just the Chinese soldiers that come with guns, but also their politicians, their teachers, their noodle vendors, their factory workers, school children that get pumped with propaganda, all of them as our enemies. We can’t be funding them especially in industries like the knife industry since it can be easily converted to produce military weapons.
      If we as a community boycot these Chinese made commie knives, maybe we can change the industry practice. Who knows we may succeed like we’re crushing bud light.
