  • A great day out in the Seathwaite valley, with the autumnal colours approaching their peak. Windy conditions made for an ever-changing landscape, and a photographer's dream.

Thanks for watching, Treklinda. I really recommend it, there's free parking, great hiking, and it's all reasonably easy-going. Take care.

Excellent video Mal! Enjoyed seeing the awesome views in the Lake District, and nice to see your dog out with you! I like how you share images of the map from time to time so we can see where you are walking - I might try that idea myself at some point! ⛰🥾

Thanks so much for the feedback, Andrew. It's really appreciated. I'm going to utilise the map feature a lot more in the future. Cheers!

Shame I couldnt join you on this un, if i remember right we were up on Hellvelyn when storm Desmond rolled through, the sight of your waterproof pants being blown down was indeed a sight to behold!! Another lovely vid!

Ahh thanks, Dom. Yes, that was indeed Desmond that de-bagged me that day (what a day!) Really enjoyed this walk, last time I was up there was 2014.

Funny enough I was going to take Mrs Metalman on that walk after a wash out Sunday of torrential rain but last minute change of plans on Monday morning. It looked a great path to follow straight from the farm and I have come down that way from Great Gable back to Seathwaite but so tired I would hardly remember what the path back was like. I think you made the right call on not camping! Cheers Alan

Hi Alan, thanks for watching. I really enjoyed this walk, first time up Seathwaite Fell in 8 years. Will try and get a camp in this week. Take care.

Interesting route up to Seathwaite Fell - I was looking at going up the more well used route where you turn left up the gulley about 400m before you turned. Have you done that one Mal, if so, any thoughts on which is easier/quicker? Cheers :-)

Thanks for watching. Do you know, I couldn't see a path up there, and I didn't want to walk all the way up to Sprinkling Tarn, so I just walked straight up. I looked on the OS map, and there's nothing that obvious on there. I'd like to do a camp up there, but would prefer a path around the Seathwaite end. Cheers!

Cheers Mal - it isn’t marked, I only know it through other people. You can see it on the satellite images, but nothing on OS 🤷🏻‍♂️
