Hey man, I will be studying at Deakin university, Burwood. Should I rent something before coming to Australia or after coming there? Should I live in Burwood or in CBD? Please suggest me if you know some place.
AMBER JAIN congratulations on getting in deakin! I would suggest you to come here and find accommodation as you would have time to inspect properties also where to live depends on the uni, if you have to go 4-5 days in a week I’d suggest living in Burwood as its usually cheaper to live in the suburbs and you’ll save on travel costs. Travelling to the CBD is generally pretty easy from Burwood with trains, buses and trams so if you need a job also you can work in or around Burwood or the city. However if you can I would recommend coming to Australia first and find an accommodation according to your taste.

CQU is in CBD and living in CBD can be extremely expensive. No matter which area you live in, every train would come to the city(CBD) which would make transportation very convenient for you. Hey brother, I will be studying at Monash Caulfield campus, i needed suggestions for what is better for a new international student - to stay On campus accommodation or try websites like unilodgers uni living etc ? cheap and good rental options around the campus . Please reply asap. Thanks mate
I would not consider tafe Universities very cheap but it would depend on the course that you study. This video th-cam.com/video/a5jfcKeUJy8/w-d-xo.html might help you clear your doubts regarding how much can you earn and if that is enough to pay the fees. Cheers -Team Melbourne Vibe
RMIT has two campuses, one is right in the middle of the city and other is in the (bundoora)suburb. Find out where are your classes going to be. Bundoora is full of students and you can find really cheap accommodation there and the tram line 86 goes directly to the city from Bundoora.
If you’re studying in the city campus then basically anywhere would be suitable that’s close to a tram/train line. North/west Melbourne within the free tram zone usually has decent share accommodation or student housing. Have a look on the Fairy Floss Facebook group, realestate.com.au or Gumtree for the options advertised. - Team Melbourne Vibe
Transport is $4.20 per trip, unless you’re in the free tram zone. Or if you travel more than 4 days a week you can save a little money buying a MYKI pass - check the Myki website (ptv.vic.gov.au) for pricing options. - Team Melbourne Vibe
Hi man, can you really help me? I am really need your help. Me and my friend kevin are going to Melbourne soon. But we havent found any room... We’re planning to stay together in 1 room with 2 beds to press the cost. And we will study at Victoria University, City Flinders. Right infront of Crown Casino and Flinders Street Station.
Hey Steven I really wish we could be of help ! For short term accommodation airbnb or hostels would be the best option. Help us grow more and soon we would manage accommodation to all students coming to Australia ! Cheers -Team Melbourne Vibe
Hey Kranthi, Northcote is a great suburb near La Trobe Bundoora. Rent isn’t too expensive if you share house, a lot of uni students choose to live in that area. You have the tram 86 line which takes you very close to the Uni, or going the other way you can reach the city from Northcote within 30 minutes. Otherwise the train (south Morang line) will get you around also. Northcote is a lively place with live music, bars and restaurants lining High St which is very popular to go out on. Then neighbouring suburbs like Brunswick and Fitzroy are also great for going out and shopping. Smaller suburbs such as Preston, Reservior and Bundoora itself are nice but also some what quieter but closer to the Uni itself. Hope that helps Cheers!
I'll be studying at monash college.... Which wud be best for Clayton and caufield campus.....? I wish to share the place with my friends. But I'm confused over the terms I found in a website. What is the difference between a private, shared and whole place. For example can I rent a private place and share it with my friend.... Or i have to rent the whole place to share with them.?
Hey, really appreciate your question. So you can rent either a room in a shared house which means you just have a room with random people in the house and you would be sharing kitchen and bathrooms. or else you and your friends can rent a house so that you would be living with people you know or else you can your private place which means you have the whole studio/unit or a house all by yourself. Also Clayton and Caulfield are 10 mins from each other and there is bus service of Monash university running all day between two campuses but i would recommend you to live nearby your campus so you don't have to travel much before your morning class. Do subscribe and share the video. Cheers.

How to find living place
Is tafe relatively cheaper than other universities? And do you think I can earn my tuition by doing part time job , is it reasonable?
I would not consider tafe Universities very cheap but it would depend on the course that you study.
This video th-cam.com/video/a5jfcKeUJy8/w-d-xo.html might help you clear your doubts regarding how much can you earn and if that is enough to pay the fees.

Hey what's ur take on RMIT.. I might be choosing RMIT. Any less expensive accommodation nearby?
RMIT has two campuses, one is right in the middle of the city and other is in the (bundoora)suburb. Find out where are your classes going to be. Bundoora is full of students and you can find really cheap accommodation there and the tram line 86 goes directly to the city from Bundoora.
Melbourne Vibe mine is the city campus.. right in the center... So any suggestions for that?
Me too! Which area should is recommended? How about the transport cost if we are staying in the suburbs?
If you’re studying in the city campus then basically anywhere would be suitable that’s close to a tram/train line. North/west Melbourne within the free tram zone usually has decent share accommodation or student housing.
Have a look on the Fairy Floss Facebook group, realestate.com.au or Gumtree for the options advertised.

Transport is $4.20 per trip, unless you’re in the free tram zone. Or if you travel more than 4 days a week you can save a little money buying a MYKI pass - check the Myki website (ptv.vic.gov.au) for pricing options.

Cheers

Well, actually its not short term tho. I’m gonna study for 1 year.
Hello bro . i wanna come to Melbourne for my master .Will u help me like accommodation as well find part time job if i come there
Hey my university is Latrobe bundoora where will u suggest me an area to stay
Hope that helps
Cheers!
Melbourne Vibe thanks bro

I'll be studying at monash college.... Which wud be best for Clayton and caufield campus.....?
I wish to share the place with my friends.
But I'm confused over the terms I found in a website.
What is the difference between a private, shared and whole place.
For example can I rent a private place and share it with my friend.... Or i have to rent the whole place to share with them.?
Hey, really appreciate your question.
So you can rent either a room in a shared house which means you just have a room with random people in the house and you would be sharing kitchen and bathrooms.
or else you and your friends can rent a house so that you would be living with people you know
or else you can your private place which means you have the whole studio/unit or a house all by yourself.
Also Clayton and Caulfield are 10 mins from each other and there is bus service of Monash university running all day between two campuses but i would recommend you to live nearby your campus so you don't have to travel much before your morning class. Do subscribe and share the video. Cheers.
