Dude, fenomenal teaching from you. Teachers like you are making education 10x better for me, just learnt what I thought was nearly impossible. Thank you!
Are you sure you're not Walter Junior from Breaking Bad? you have the same voice .. and other than that, thank you very much for the very good explanation !
Amazing video can you help me with an extra credit problem for my HW. i used the video for part 'A' really helped B. Consider the linc instruction, which is a variant of the lw instruction that has the same operands but also increments the base register by 4 after loading the word. Linc has the same machine code format as lw. Modify the MIPS multicycle implementation to support this instruction using as few cycles as possible.
15 mins youtube video somehow beats an hour lecture, thank you very much !!
Nat Huang a confusing lecture motivates you to watch a TH-cam tutorial LOL
dude, he saved me an entire term

Awesome video so clear and easy to understand! Took my professor 4 hours to explain the datapath instruction steps and I still didn't understand.
professors should be working on researches, not teaching - they suck at it!
Clear, simple and short! Thanks from ENSI (Tunisia) :)
You are a life saver. The best lecture on multicycle. Thank you.

Can we execute jump instruction with just 2 steps (without decode)? Fetch -> Jump
in step 2 you dont add pc to it but you add pc+4 to the sign extend
Sir , can you explain about clock cycles on which these are happening
very welldone..:)
moooooooooore!!!!plz This video definitely save my ass
Thank you Mohammad! Just one query. This may be a silly question but can you please tell me why we do a sign extend of 2 bits.
To perform the x4, since the value is in amount of words, and each word is 4 bytes.
"To perform the x4", what does that mean?
left shift 2
MOOOORRRRRRRRR
Sometimes it sounds confident, but sometimes not haha
Just condensed 4 hours long lectures given over 2 weeks into 15 minutes. Wtaf am i paying for.
