I saw them sing this song at Fellowship Church in Chicago about 20 years ago. MASE the rapper was preaching that night. He got up to the mic after New Direction sang this song. MASE said basically that this choir cannot impress him with their acrobats and their trying to showboat because he didn't grow up in the church.

Ma$e has no call saying anything about New Direction! He didn’t grow up in church so he should hush. New Direction hails from all over Chicago. If he knew what these young people had to face everyday and they STILL get up praising God, he might actually be able to fathom their praise.
